macOS Ventura 13.1 booted on Dell Inspiron 5559 (i5-6200U)!
Thanks to OpenCore 0.8.6 & OpenCore Legacy Patcher 0.5.2
Broken things:
+ Not USB surprisingly
- GPU/Acceleration/Display brightness/DPI/Sleep (kernel panics with current Skylake patches)
- Trackpad (causes 20 minute boot with VoodooI2C, has been an issue since Monterey)
- Audio (haven’t investigated further)
How this monstrosity was pulled:
Installation:
- USB installer built with OCLP
- Normal install with SMBIOS of MacbookPro14,1
Post-install:
- Disabled SIP&AMFI
- Applied OCLP Skylake Graphic Patch
- Probably 20 kernel panics and a data loss, still stuck here panicking to this very second
Moral of the story: stick with Bug Sur
