⚙️ Pi Network grows when the noise fades.

Quiet phases are where real networks are built.
No trending hype, no viral pumps — just infrastructure, users, and testing.

Most people lose interest here.
That’s exactly why this phase matters.

💎 Strong ecosystems are shaped in silence, not headlines.

🧠 Pi Network is testing behavior, not just technology.

The long process isn’t random. It filters users who are patient, informed, and willing to follow rules. Networks that survive long-term are built by disciplined communities, not impatient crowds.

Pi’s real experiment isn’t mining —
it’s measuring commitment over time.

Important reminder for Nodes: The Pi Mainnet blockchain protocol is currently undergoing a series of upgrades. The deadline for the first upgrade step is February 15. All Mainnet nodes must complete this step to remain connected to the network. More information is available here https://minepi.com/pi-node/
Pi Network doesn’t try to convince everyone — and that’s intentional.

Most crypto projects spend energy on marketing. Pi spends it on filtering. Limited access, gradual rollout, and strict rules are designed to reduce noise, not attract crowds.

In the long run, fewer but committed users matter more than millions of impatient ones.

Sometimes, growth means saying no more than saying yes.

🧭 Pi Network isn’t trying to impress — it’s trying to survive.

In crypto, speed attracts attention.
Structure attracts longevity.

Pi’s slow pace isn’t for everyone, and it doesn’t need to be. Some users leave. Others stay and adapt. That choice is part of the design.

Not every project is built to trend.
Some are built to last.

⚙️ Pi Network Core Team has begun activating key network protocols.

🔄 The mandatory Node upgrade to v19.6 was successfully activated on February 15, 2026. Nodes that fail to upgrade will be disconnected from the network. This step is critical before moving to higher protocol versions and further testing.

At the same time, Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) was enabled as a required security layer ahead of full Mainnet migration, helping protect users during upgrades.

The Core Team also released Pi Browser v1.50, improving compatibility with new node versions and enhancing user experience.

In addition, Stellar Protocol v25 is being activated alongside the WordPi Beta, introducing privacy improvements and new no-code payment tools.

🔥 Infrastructure development continues with upcoming protocols v20.2, v23, and v24.

Pi has released specific details on the Ecosystem Token Design on Pi Network as a Pi Request for Comment (PRC) to the community. Learn more about ecosystem token design here, and read the GitHub page for further details. https://minepi.com/blog/open-network-anniversary/#ecosystem-token-design-mainnet

Feedback is welcome, and Pioneers are encouraged to comment, discuss with other community members and share specific suggestions on specific sections of the design using GitHub features like issues or pull requests. For those who do not have a GitHub account, a Google Form is also available to submit high-level feedback.
Since the launch of Open Network, Pi has continued expanding across multiple dimensions of the ecosystem—from KYC and Mainnet migrations to developer activity and overall network participation. These milestones reflect the steady progress made possible through the collective contributions of Pioneers, developers, businesses, and KYC validators around the world.

Check out some of the key ecosystem growth metrics achieved during the past year since Open Network launched!

What are Pi ecosystem tokens and what is the design thinking for ecosystem tokens on Mainnet?

Pi Founder Chengdiao Fan dives deep into Pi’s unique approach to ecosystem token design — Pi’s focus is not on tokens for their own sake, or on mechanisms and integrations in isolation, but on enabling useful, utility-driven tokens and supporting the real innovation behind them.

Learn more on the specifics of ecosystem token design here. Pioneers are encouraged to comment, discuss with other community members and share specific suggestions on specific sections.

Network Update: Protocol v19.9 migration successfully completed. Next up is v20.2 — Aiming to complete before Pi Day 2026. Node operators should make sure they’re upgraded and stay tuned for further instructions: https://minepi.com/pi-node/
Protocol upgrades in progress (Step 3 – Deadline: March 12): The Pi Mainnet blockchain protocol continues to undergo a series of upgrades. All Mainnet Nodes are required to complete this step before the deadline to remain connected to the network. Details here: https://minepi.com/pi-node
Pi released a deep-dive case study into the recent proof-of-concept project for a new Pi Node utility that supports decentralized AI training and computing tasks for third-parties using the spare computing capacity of over 421,000 Pi Nodes. In collaboration with OpenMind, a robotics startup invested in by Pi Network Ventures, this project showed that Pi Nodes can process AI-relevant workloads and return useful results quickly. This work is part of and provides insights for the general initiative to integrate Pi into AI infrastructure itself, utilizing distributed computing and enabling authentic human input for AI training, inference, and reinforcement learning. https://minepi.com/blog/openmind-case-study/
⚙️ Pi Network is entering another important upgrade phase for Mainnet nodes.

Recent protocol changes mean node operators should stay alert for new versions and upgrade instructions. Keeping your node updated helps maintain network stability and ensures it remains connected to the blockchain.

As the protocol evolves step-by-step, every active node plays a role in strengthening the network’s infrastructure. 🌐

For operators, the message is simple:
update early, stay connected, and follow official node announcements.
