Porting Custom Recovery

To port between binaries or to a similar device


1. Build a custom kernel for the new device.(optional)
2. Obtain stock recovery.img for the new device.
3. Use AIK Magisk Module

Open rootexplorer
4. Unpack stock recovery.img
Exit the folder and return to see the files.
5. Copy these 4 files from from split_img to a new folder:
recovery.img-dtb
recovery.img-dtb_offset
recovery.img-kernel
recovery.img-recovery_dtbo

6. Replace stock kernel with custom kernel Image (optional)
7. Cleanup
8. Unpack  custom recovery.img (existing twrp)
9. insert these 4 files into custom split_img.
10. Repackimg
Your new custom recovery is new-image.img

1. Open termux or Linux and type
termux-setup-storage
2. Navigate to the place where your recovery.img or recovery.img.lz4 is stored
3. curl https://up.sb -T recovery.img
4. Copy the location
5. Run the recovery workflow from github actions
- tap on actions
- tap on RECOVERY on the left
- tap on Run workflow on the right
- paste your recovery.img location
- tap on run workflow
- wait for it to go green
- tap on RECOVERY next to Green tick
- tap on patched-recovery
- tap on download

I'm using a very unusual method.
I replace the apps with a blank apk file.

Installation

1 Backup boot, data, dtbo & super from recovery
2. Mount system as root
Go to terminal and type
mount -o remount,rw/system_root
3. Install & wipe Caches

If you find you want to get one of the apps back just restore the system backup
Then use zarchiver to remove the apk from my Debloater.
Then reinstall it.
