🤓 Moving Moiré patterns are mesmerizing optical illusions created when two repeating patterns (like parallel lines or dots) are overlaid and one is shifted, rotated, or slid over the other

🎇 This interference produces entirely new, larger-scale geometric waves or moving shapes that trick the brain into seeing fluid motion

📚 When two slightly misaligned grids overlap, some open areas perfectly align (creating light regions), while others block each other (creating dark bands)

🔎 Moving the top layer slightly causes these dark bands to transform and sweep across the page at a magnified speed, creating a hypnotic wave or gear-like effect

🎞 This video shows examples of this plus how camera sensors create Moiré patterns when imaging things with fine patterns

🔹️دانشگاه‌ها تا ۲۷ تیر ماه فرصت داشتند که نتایج مصاحبه‌ها را به سازمان سنجش اعلام کنند.

🔹️سازمان سنجش در اوایل مرداد ماه در اولین فرصتی که نتایج دانشگاه به صورت کامل به سنجش اعلام شود نتایج آزمون دکتری سال ۱۴۰۵ را اعلام خواهد کرد. بنابراین نتایج نهایی در نیمه اول مرداد ماه ۱۴۰۵ اعلام خواهد شد.

🤓 If you missed the 4th Summer School on ML/AI for Electron Microscopy, now is a good time to dive in.

🤩 With more than 800 registrations and around 80 in-person participants, the school was a great success. The program covered everything from the fundamentals of STEM, diffraction, spectroscopy, and 4D-STEM to machine learning, agentic workflows, autonomous experimentation, digital twins, cloudified instrumentation, APIs and orchestrators, and atomic fabrication.

✨ The new presentations, notebooks, and course materials are now openly available.

🌠 And while you are there, take a look at some of the earlier “oldies but goodies” lectures as well, including detailed materials on:
-Piezoresponse force microscopy
-Machine learning for scanning probe microscopy
-Kelvin probe microscopy of active devices
- Automated and data-driven microscopy workflows
