- Arus mengalir daripada terminal positif bateri ke terminal negatif.
- Dalam litar,LED dipasang secara pincang depan, jadi LED boleh menyala jika arus sampai kepadanya.
- diod di bahagian atas litar dipasang secara pincang songsang menyebabkan arus tidak dapat mengalir dalam litar.
- Apabila kutub diod diterbalikkan, diod menjadi pincang depan, arus dapat mengalir dan LED akan menyala.
