15 мая на пляже Сурин прошёл второй день зачистки от незаконных построек. С 9:00 до 14:00 сотрудники администрации Таланг при поддержке полиции, лесной службы и других ведомств продолжили демонтаж объектов, самовольно размещённых на общественной земле. Работы проходят под руководством губернатора Пхукета и других высокопоставленных чиновников. На данный момент демонтировано более 50% построек, операция продолжается до полного освобождения территории. Владельцы объектов сотрудничают с властями.

On May 15, the second day of clearing illegal structures took place at Surin Beach. From 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Thalang district officials, supported by police, forestry officers, and other agencies, continued dismantling unauthorized constructions on public land. 🇬🇧👁Four suspects involved in metal theft were arrested by Chalong police following a series of power outages caused by stolen cables. The first suspect, known as Big, was detained on May 11 and is believed to have cooperated with investigators, leading to the arrest of his accomplice a few days later. Two more men, Joe and Puy, were caught red-handed. One of the arrests involved a police chase that ended in a collision, similar to a recent drug bust. Police also stated that buyers of stolen metal will be prosecuted and urged victims of cable theft to file reports if they haven’t already.

The crime was previously committed on Koh Samui, with an Australian man named Billy identified as the organizer. The arrested suspect, a 41-year-old Thai influencer known as “Ajarn Yod,” confessed to receiving 900,000 baht for his role.
The Australian victim reported being robbed twice — in Phuket and on Samui — with total losses amounting to around 21 million baht. The gang used threats, firearms, and blackmail. Two suspects, including Billy and Yod, are now in custody, while others remain at large.

🇷🇺👁В Таиланде начался сезон дождей, о чём 15 мая официально сообщил Метеорологический департамент (TMD). Это связано с изменением ветровых потоков и устойчивыми осадками на севере страны.
💦 Первые дожди будут умеренными, но вскоре их интенсивность возрастёт. На севере сезон завершится в октябре, а на юге, особенно на восточном побережье, – только в январе.
🏝 На Пхукете, омываемом Андаманским морем, ожидаются сильные ливни до ноября. Ближайшее усиление осадков – 22–24 мая. До этого – умеренные дожди.
⚠️ Купание на западных пляжах Пхукета сейчас опасно: высокие волны и отбойные течения. С 16 мая закрыты архипелаги Симилан и Сурин. Судоходству рекомендована особая осторожность.

⚠️ Swimming on Phuket’s western beaches is currently dangerous due to high waves and strong rip currents. The Similan and Surin Islands have been closed since May 16. Maritime navigation should proceed with extra caution.
