AI adoption has led to new jobs at 54% of UK companies, according to a Lloyds survey that included businesses ranging from small companies to multinational corporations.
The findings offer a different perspective on the common fear that AI will put people out of work. A King's College London study found that 69% of workers are worried about losing their jobs due to AI, and 57% of Britons believe the technology will eliminate more jobs than it creates.
But the bigger shift may be less about mass layoffs and more about the job market changing: some roles are disappearing, while new ones are emerging.
Is AI a threat to your job?
❤️ — I'm irreplaceable!
🤔 — I'll need to learn some new skills
🔥 — Soon we'll all be out of work...

Liam Kloppers tested an electric shock collar as a radical way to combat doomscrolling. He connected the device to an app that delivered a shock when he opened his social media blacklist.
Even the weak pulse was so intense that Kloppers almost threw his phone at the wall.
"I was now too scared to use my phone. I was also too scared to keep using the collar," he says.
So, he decided to replace the shock with an irritating high-pitched beep.
How do you feel about this approach?
🔥 — I'd try it myself
🤯 — Too extreme!

Scientists have found that dogs blink more often when they see people blinking, especially their owners.
However, they do not simply copy human blinking: dogs were not necessarily more likely to blink immediately after a person did.
Researchers believe this reaction may reflect increased attention and social interaction, suggesting that blinking could be part of dogs' nonverbal communication with humans.

There's a YouTube video called R2D2 Sounds for bird mimicking that has racked up more than 1.3 million views.
When a blogger played it for his cockatiels, they picked it up almost instantly—and became flying droids, not literally, of course.

According to a recent Gallup poll, 37% of Americans believe that at least some UFOs are actually alien spacecraft.
Women are more likely to believe in alien visits to Earth (41%) than men (34%). One in six respondents claims to have personally seen something resembling a UFO—nearly one and a half times more than in 1973, when such data was first collected.
However, 49% are convinced that all UFO sightings can be explained by human activity or natural phenomena. Still, since 2019, the share of such skeptics has decreased by 11 percentage points.
Do you believe in UFOs?

After the official GTA VI gameplay reveal, some fans were unhappy with a scene in which Lucia reloads a shotgun one-handed during a shootout. They called it unrealistic and even a physically impossible cliché.
Social media users (from the U.S., of course) immediately started testing whether it was possible with their own guns — and with certain models it does work.
That said, commenters also brought up the iconic scenes from Terminator and Rick and Morty, where Sarah Connor and Beth Smith handled that kind of reload just fine.
So what do you think: is it realistic?
❤️ — Yes, looks fine
🔥 — No, what a letdown!

Dyson has introduced the $499 CameraJet, an electric toothbrush with a built-in camera and automatic flossing system.
Its camera and AI detect gaps between teeth and fire a stream of mouthwash at them within 100 milliseconds. The device streams a live view of the inside of your mouth to a smartphone over Wi-Fi, without storing or uploading the footage.
It comes in ceramic blue and ceramic pink, and the charging dock automatically refills the mouthwash reservoir.
Does a toothbrush need AI?

A modder has brought the cult immersive sim to VR. The project took over 600 hours of work, combining manual coding and AI use for reverse engineering.
The mod is already playable, but the author warns that it's still an alpha build and may be rough around the edges. More improvements are planned, including physical VR interactions for many in-game actions.
Files and the installation guide are available here.

The model generates clips up to 30 seconds long in a single run and takes up to 50 references at a time—photos, video, and audio (the maximumreferences is available in our app).
The setting, angle, and pace can all shift within one continuous scene, and the model builds the order of events, transitions, and ending on its own.
How to Try:✅ In @GPT4Telegrambot select Create Video → Seedance 2.5✅ Describe your idea, upload your references, and get a finished clip
Seedance 2.5 is included in the VIDEO Bundle alongside FLUX 3, Veo 3.1, and Kling. You can activate it in the Premium section.

OpenAI president Greg Brockman said that the release of the model opens the AGI era.
On benchmarks the model pulls far ahead of every competitor, including Fable 5.1. And on some tasks the results do not improve even with more reasoning (and sometimes drop a little).
The main gain is in agency and computer use: the model uses a PC the way a person does, works out interfaces and fields on its own, and does not even need APIs or connectors, the developers promise.
For now access has been given only to vetted companies—it will be released to paying subscribers within a couple of days.
