So going by the information, tonight is the night. The night of anxiety and uncertainty, the night of smelling the grass on the other side, the night before UPSC declares you successful in its final result.
But let me tell you. You are already successful. Your journey till now is nothing short of extraordinary tale of extreme hard work, sacrifice and patience. And, irrespective of the result, I am so proud of you, of everyone of you.

Bahut special messages hain ye mere lie. Kyunki ye un students ke hain jo finally qualify nahi kie. Just 2/3 weeks before mains of last year, I remember discussing a girl's ethics answers on Google meet. She had enrolled in my Ethics batch. Although we had discussed her answers before but this time she looked very anxious. I was worried.
Mujhe laga ki ye ladki ache answers likh rahi hai but anxiety ke chakkar me apna best nahi likh payegi. There was so much stress apparent on her face.
Mere poochne par unhone bataya ki sir bahut stress ho raha hai. Pata nahi hoga bhi ya nahi. She was under tremendous stress, a lot more than what any aspirant can afford without compromising her performance.
I asked her to wake up early and have some exposure to Sun and do some exercises. I also asked her to send me daily updates on the same. Maine yahan tak kaha ki chahe kam padhna but ye jaroor karna.
She followed the same. Sent me the WhatsApp texts regularly.
That girl,Deepika Aggarwal, has secured AIR 151. She has also scored one of the highest marks in Ethics paper - 129.

There is more to mentorship than academic gyan because their struggle is not only academic. The Societal pressure, parental expectations, the lonely failures often break your spirit. This is the story of Krishna Chandra Gupta-my student who had gritty resolve to make it this time. He was student of my core batch (essay, Ethics, MMP etc)
I remember telling him, multiple times - Krishna, you will get a rank in TOP 50. Yes, I was that convinced. Because he was writing essays and Ethics very well.
But i failed in my prediction. He secured AIR 142 this year. I thought I should wait for marksheet before I make any comment.
He has secured 144 marks in Essay paper but only 95 marks in Ethics paper. This was shocking to me as most of my students from Ethics have secured 115+ marks even jinka unfortunately interview call nahi tha. I was perplexed.
I asked him straight away-Krishna, Essay me to expectation ke hisab se aye aapke marks,Ethics me kuch alag try kia kya exam me?
He said, sir, I could give only 1 hr to Section A in Ethics paper.
I was furious, disappointed and literally yelled at him. (those who know me can relate to it very well 😊)
Because, in my almost all sessions of Ethics I keep on repeating that Section A is deciding factor in Ethics paper. Please give equitabile time to this.
Simple reason hai dosto. Case Studies me bahut sare questions ane lage hain. Uska more or less structured format hai.. Wahan aap obvious points jo baki log likhenge, wahi likhne me time and space khatm ho jaega.. On the other hand, Section A me competition bahut kam hai. Because most of the students write average answers because of poor understanding of the subject.
Main ye nahi kah raha hoon ki case study me innovation nahi karna hai.. Bilkul karna hai. But not at the great cost of Sec A. Aap aadha paper kharab karke top marks nahi expect kar sakte
