Written by an IAS officer-an insider perspective on bureaucratic attitude-many of the ills of bureaucracy pointed here can be written in your mains answers. It also highlight the glaring gaps vis a vis dedication to public service & probity.

PS. The article though has a sweeping tone and discredits various hardworking Civil servants who are going beyond doing the minimum for the motherland. Never write such one sided answer in the actual exam.(otherwise, your copy will be sent to naxals 😅) A critical perspective doesn't mean not giving credit where due. Also, criticism in your answers must be followed by practical suggestions. It shows pragmatism and optimistic attitude on your part.

Dosto, this is a great example of importance of consequence while determining ethicality of an act. Means ki purity important hai but one is also responsible for the consequences of the means adopted. The argument/HC comment can be used in your mains answers.

Try to go beyond the usual/common stories/anecdotes in the introduction. It will make your introduction more interesting & refreshing for the examiner.

We can also learn how systemic issues like financial literacy, family issues etc are addressed. How by appointing family liason officer, institutional mechanisms are developed to solve the issue. These learnings you can apply while solving the case studies in Ethics paper.
