Regime Change of the Day

Although the descent of Jesus to earth is easily understood by reading the first sentence of the Evangelion, it is interesting to note a unified, coherent Christology when we widen our search. The Evangelion provides the narrative act (the descent into ministry). 1 Corinthians provides the theological rationale (the descent defines the new humanity). John (although not canonical) provides the polemic (the descent delegitimizes all other claims to heavenly authority).
