GLAD TIDINGS ✨: Books From Yemen For Students In The UK 📚📚📚
In 3 weeks I will be returning to the UK for a short while In shāʾ Allāh. To make the most of my journey before returning to Yemen I plan to bring back a selection of foundational books for students which are generally unaccessible in the UK.
This project WAS NOT founded as a profitable business FOR MYSLEF. Altough that is fine in of itself — ie. there is no issue with making money from selling books in a reasonable way — the primary goal with all my channels is to aid the daʿwah as much as possible. This is why most of the profits will go into giving more books away for free.
The Aims of This Project Detailed
https://t.me/maktabahabuhurayrah/88
The majority of the books with each shipment will be distributed free of charge once costs of the books have been covered by the orders.
Updated Books List and Prices:
https://t.me/maktabahabuhurayrah/112
All collections of the books will take place at Masjid Muqbil — South Harrow, London, in shāʾ Allāh.

BENEFIT 511: Watching the Teacher’s Face Won’t Help You Understand the Lesson Any Better
Questioner: he says, "Sheikh, may Allāh grant you you. We heard from one of your students that you said it is allowed to use a video camera for documentation. Is that true? And if there is a lot of this filming, what is the ruling if it’s not needed?”
Sheikh Fawzān: For what purpose?
Questioner: To document charitable work.
Sheikh: No, never. It is a lie to say I said this, even if it comes from one of my students—it’s a lie. I never say this. I say filming is allowed only for necessity, as scholars have ruled for necessities like an ID card or driving license. Filming for spreading knowledge, as some say, is not allowed. Knowledge can be shared without filming, yes.

Calling upon the dead in the grave is
What Has Been Mentioned From the Strong Condemnation of the One Who Worships Allāh by the Grave of a Righteous Person, Then What of the One Who Worships The Righteous Person?
It is reported in the Sahih (Al-Bukhãri and Muslim) on the authority of 'A'ishah that Umm Salamah & mentioned to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ* A church which she saw in Abyssinia and what it contained of pictures and statues, & he ﷺ said:
أولَئِكَ إِذَا مَاتَ فِيهِمُ الرَّجُلُ الصَّالِحُ أَوْ العَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ بَنَوا عَلَى قَبْرِهِ مَسْجِدًا وَصَوَّرُوا فِيهِ تِلْكَ الصُّوَرَ، أُولَئِكَ شِرَارُ الْخَلْقِ عِنْدَ اللّهِ
"Concerning those people, when a righteous man - or a righteous slave - dies among them, they build a mosque over his grave and place on it those pictures and statues. Those are the worst of all creatures before Allah on the Day of Resurrection" 53
These people combined between two evils: the evil of grave- worship and the evil of taking pictures and statues.
And both of them (Al-Bukhäri and Muslim) also reported from her, that when the death approached the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ *:
...He began to draw one of his pieces of cloth over his face; he would sometimes remove it out of distress and say, while in that state:
لَعْنَةُ الله عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ
"May the curse of Allāh be upon the Jews and the Christians for they take the graves of their prophets as places of worship."
He ﷺ was warning against what they did. If not for that, his grave could have been made open outside the house; except that they were afraid that his grave could be taken as a mosque"
Muslim reported on the authority of Jundub bn 'Abdullāh who said:
"I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ five days before he died saying:
“I am exonerated before Allāh from having taken anyone of you as a Khaleel (an intimate friend) for Allāh has chosen me as a Khaleel as He has chosen Ibrahim as a Khaleel. Were I to take anybody as a Khaleel from among my Ummah, I would take Abu Bakr as the Khaleel. Listen carefully, those before you took the graves of their Prophets as places of worship; beware, do not take the graves as mosques; I am prohibiting you from that”
He ﷺ forbade from that at the end of his life time. Then, he cursed, in this context, whoever does this. Observing Salah at the graves falls under these forbidden practices even if a mosque is not built therein; this is what is expressed in her words: "except that they were afraid that his grave could be taken as a mosque" The Companions never built a mosque around his grave; any place where Salah is meant to be performed is regarded as a mosque as he ﷺ said:
جُعِلَتْ لِي الأَرْضُ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا
"The whole earth has been made for me as mosques and a means of purification"
Ahmad has also reported with a sound chain of narration on the authority of Ibn
Mas'üd in a Marfü form that:
إِنَّ مِنْ شِرَارِ النَّاسِ مَنْ تُدْرِكُهُمُ السَّاعَةُ وَهُمْ أَحْيَاءٌ، وَالَّذِينَ يَتَّخِذُونَ القُبُورَ
مَسَاجِدَ
"From among the worst set of people are those whom the Last Hour meets while they are still alive and those who choose the graves as mosques."
Abu Hatim, Ibn Hibban also reported it in his Sahih.

Wearing the Niqab Among Women and in the Presence of Mahram Men
QUESTION:
In some cultures, it is customary for women to cover their faces even in the presence of their own mahrams.
Sheikh Ahmad Al-’Umari ḥafidhahullāh:
This custom — whereby a woman covers her face in the presence of some of her mahrams — exists in certain regions of Yemen, particularly in areas like Rasab, Ar-Raydah, and other parts of Hadhramaut, as well as in regions I am not aware of. In these areas, a woman may cover her face even in front of her mahram, and sometimes even in front of her own husband, or other women.
This practice is contrary to the Shari'ah — it is against the Shari‘ah. Allah Almighty says in His noble Book: "And they should not display their beauty except to their husbands, or their fathers, or the fathers of their husbands..."
Such a custom reflects unnecessary hardship and exaggeration. Some women do not uncover their faces even in front of other women, their neighbours, and so on — and this goes against what is natural and against the Sunnah. It falls under what is termed tanattu‘ (excessiveness in religion).
The Prophet ﷺ said: "The extremists are doomed. The extremists are doomed."
We ask Allāh, the Most High, for wellbeing and safety.
