Ask Yourself…
Ask Yourself: What kind of Muslim sees his brother ignorant — yet he doesn’t strive to teach him?
Ask Yourself: What kind of Muslim sees his brother in a situation he’d dislike for himself — yet his heart doesn’t hurt for him?
Ask Yourself: What kind of Muslim fills his stomach with fine food, while knowing his brother can’t afford even one-tenth of that?
Ask Yourself: What kind of Muslim sees his brother struggling in class — and finds amusement instead of offering support?
Ask Yourself: What kind of Muslim hears that his brother is ill — and doesn’t even check up on him?
Ask Yourself: What kind of Muslim sees his brother lonely — and doesn’t wish to accompany him or make him feel seen?
Ask Yourself: What kind of Muslim watches his brother struggle — and can’t offer even a few words of motivation?
Ask Yourself: What kind of Muslim knows his brother needs help — yet can’t spare even a few seconds to make duʿāʾ for him?
Ask Yourself: What kind of Muslim sees his brother fall into sin — and doesn’t rush to save him from the anger of Allāh?
Ask Yourself: What kind of Muslim wears new, perfumed clothes — yet doesn’t even wish his struggling brothers could have the same?
Ask Yourself: What kind of Muslim hears of his brother’s pain — yet his heart feels nothing?
Ask Yourself: What kind of Muslim are you?
قال النبي ﷺ: لا يؤمن أحدكم حتى يحب لأخيه ما يحب لنفسه [رواه البخاري]
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Non of you truly believe until you love for your brother (and sister) what you love for yourself.” [Bukhārī]

*The Duty to Share the Message*
One of the main things that should encourage a Muslim to invite others to Islam is to realise that the person in front of you — the driver, the house worker, the café employee, or the person sitting next to you on a plane — might never meet you again.
If you think about it, this person might die without knowing Islam and end up in the Fire. On the Day of Judgment, he might stand before Allāh and say, “O Lord, this Muslim saw me but never told me about Islam. He didn’t explain the Qur'ān to me, didn’t tell me to believe in Prophet Muḥammad (peace be upon him), and no one ever told me what Islam really is.”
This thought should make you feel responsible.
My dear brother, I once met a Christian man and spoke to him about Prophet Muḥammad (peace be upon him). I told him how Allāh sent Moses, then Jesus, and then Muḥammad (peace be upon him). The man was surprised and said, “This is the first time I’ve heard that God sent Muhammad after Jesus.” I asked him how long he had lived among Muslims, and he said, “Sixteen years.”
Sixteen years living among Muslims, yet he didn’t know that God sent Muhammad after Jesus! We really need to fix this shortcoming.

Ahlus Sunnah are people of Mercy, following the example of the merciful Messenger of Allah, ﷺ. The people of extremism are people of harshness and cruelty, following the example of their predecessors, the Khawarij. So praise be to Allah for the blessing of the Sunnah.
