Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The life of the world is sweet and green. Allah makes you generations succeeding one another so that He may test you in respect of your actions. So beware of the adornments of the world and women. For verily the first trial of Banu Israel was through women".[Muslim].

Words of advice from Umar ibn Al-Khattāb رضي الله عنه ,to a man who was thinking of divorcing his wife...
Umar رضي الله عنه went to a man who was thinking of divorcing his wife:
"You men! When we marry, we give a serious promise to her. A woman gives birth to children and goes through hard times during her pregnancy. Then she suckles the baby and takes care all nights about her children, when they get sick or need anything.
She sacrifices her beauty and youth for being a mother. How fair is it, when her husband leaves her, when she is grown up?
If she would have never taken care of her home and family, instead taking care of her body and beauty, her husband would say: "What a bad mother she is." Where is integrity and loyalty? Fear Allah regarding your behaviour towards your wives."

Ahl al-Hadith Are the Saved Sect!
Shaykh Muḥammad Amān al-Jāmī رحمه الله said:
For this reason, Imām Ahmad - when he was asked about the saved group - said:
إِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ الفِرْقَةُ النَّاجِيَةُ أَهْلَ الحَدِيثِ أَنَا لَا أَدْرِي مَنْ هُمْ
“If the saved group are not the Ahl al-Hadīth, I do not know who they are.”
As the Ahl al-Ḥadīth are the people of Rusūlullāh ﷺ and his followers, they deserve this attribution as they are those who truly understood what he came with, and they acted by that, called to that, and they are patient upon adhering to the Sunnah, especially when tribulations spread, bidaʿ become common, and ahl al-bidaʿ are active and energetic, and the Ahl al-Hadīth are oppressed, yet they cling to it and remain steadfast upon the Sunnah and acting by the Sunnah.
They are mocked; their clothes are mocked, their beards are mocked, their adherence is mocked, yet they persevere, and they say:
ِلَا يَضُّر السَّحَابَ نَبَحُ الكِلَاب
“The clouds are not harmed by the barking of dogs.”
So they walk on, and they do not care. These are the people of Allāh, the people of Rasūlullāh ﷺ.

“Maintaining contact with the people is from the greatest and best of manners. At the head of this and the noblest of this is keeping contact with the parents.
This is for the person to keep contact with his parents through the various means of communication, as much as he is able.
Next in line is maintaining the ties of kinship with the relatives in accordance to their closeness with you. Next is maintaining contact with the scholars and your neighbours. The greatest for if contact is connect with those who cut you off.”

It is narrated on the authority of Amirul Mu'minin, Abu Hafs 'Umar bin al-Khattab (ra) who said:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "Actions are (judged) by motives (niyyah), so each man will have what he intended. Thus, he whose migration (hijrah) was to Allah and His Messenger, his migration is to Allah and His Messenger; but he whose migration was for some worldly thing he might gain, or for a wife he might marry, his migration is to that for which he migrated." [Bukhari & Muslim]

Forwarded from Salafi Homeschool
CONCERN: I have a 7 year old son who goes to a public school, but I’m looking to take him out due to the behaviour that he picks up from his non Muslim friends. He picks up swear words and inappropriate behaviour which really concerns me and my wife. We can't afford to enrol him at an Islamic school so we are currently looking at other options. Homeschooling seems a good option but my wife says it’s difficult for her because there are other children she has to look after (a 6 year old boy and 1 and half year old girl). What do you recommend?
ADVICES:
▪️I recommend you put your trust in Allah and help your wife as much as you can to initate homeschooling for your children and make du'a.
▪️Take action swiftly before things get worse. Your son could pick up even more bad habits, like swearing on other than Allāh and so many other evil ideologies in school.
▪️Yes, you and your wife will have less free time, but that's a small sacrifice in comparison to saving your child's Deen.
▪️Both husband and wife can assess their strengths and each can be responsible for teaching whatever they're good at. For example: wife may be stronger in literacy and language so she can take on that side of things whereas husband may be stronger in scientific knowledge or numeracy and he can take on that side of things. And just dedicate a small portion consistently each day to that subject. So long as the child is learning you're fulfilling your duty. Short but consistent lessons can lead to mountains of knowledge bi'idhnillah.
▪️Send your wife the sisters homeschooling group link so she can get advice, tips and encouragement from other sisters who are already homeschooling their kids. Sister's group:
https://t.me/Sistershomeschooling
▪️There are some good homeschooling support systems by way of co-operatives whereby mums get together and teach the children as a group. They rotate in the organising of lessons, work, resources etc. so the workload is shared.
▪️It's not as hard as you may think. Don't over complicate what home-schooling/home-educating has to look like. So many mums couldn’t see themselves homeschooling and by the grace of Allah they now are.
▪️Play lots, read lots, talk to them lots. Kids that age are like sponges and pick up so much just by these 3 things.
▪️There are also some great free online resources where qualified teachers give lessons and set work. This is great for parents who aren’t confident with teaching.
May Allah make things easy and protect our children.
