*Running From Criticism is a Race You'll Never Win!*

وَاللهِ لَو صاحَبَ الإِنسانُ جِبرِيلا ... لَم يَسلَمِ المَرءُ مِن قال وَمِن قيلا

By Allah, even if a person were a companion of Jibreel, They still would not escape people's gossip and criticism.

قَد قيلَ في الله أَقوالا مُصنفة ... تتلى إِذا رُتِّلَ القُرآنُ تَرتيلا

Many different claims have been made about Allah—yet they are recited whenever the Qur'an is recited with measured, proper recitation.

قَد قيل إنَّ لَهُ وَلَداً وَصاحِبَةً ... زوراً عَلَيهِ وَبُهتاناً وَتَضليلا

They falsely claimed that He has a son and a wife, Lies, slander, and false accusations against Him.


هَذِهِ تقَولهم فِي اللهِ خَالِقِهِم ... فَكَيفَ لو قِيلَ فِينَا بَعْضُ مَا قِيلَا

If this is what they say about Allah, their Creator, Then what can we expect if people say only some of those things about us?

Meaning: No matter how righteous, good, or outstanding a person is, they cannot escape people's gossip, criticism, or false allegations. If even Allah was the subject of false accusations, then it is only natural that people will also speak unfairly about one another.

If someone asks you:

"What is the ruling on making images of things with souls?"

Say: Making images of things with souls is one of the major sins.

The proof for this is the hadeeth of Ibn Mas’ood رضي الله عنه who reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:

“Verily, the people with the worst punishment on the Day of Judgement are the ones who make images.”

Also reported in another hadeeth,

Abu Juhaifah رضي الله عنه said:

"The Messenger of Allāh forbade us from taking money for selling dogs and blood...and he cursed the picture-makers."

If someone says to you:

"What is the connection that making images of things with souls has with Shirk?"

Say: Making images is a form of creating in which the picture-makers are competing with Allāh and taking part in His ability to create.


The proof for this is what ‘Aa’ishah رضي الله عنها reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he said:

"The people with the worst punishment on the Day of Judgement are those who compete with Allāh’s creation."

"Allāh said: "And who is worse than he who tries to create like My creation..."

The Qur’an mentions that the virgin gave birth, the infant spoke, the old woman gave birth, the barren woman gave birth, the few overcame the many, the moon split, and the sea parted.

So be ambitious in your supplication, and do not doubt for a moment that your request could be beyond the power of the King of all kings. For indeed, Allah is incapable of nothing.
