We don't celebrate the Prophet's birthday ﷺ because:

● There's not a single Āyah in the Qurʿān endorsing this celebration.

● There's not a single ḥadīth from the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ endorsing this celebration, whether authentic or inauthentic.

● There's not a single Athar from any of the Companions regarding this celebration, whether authentic or inauthentic.

● The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ did not celebrate it during his lifetime, nor did any of his Companions or family members establish it for him.

● This celebration was non-existent during the lifetime of the four rightly guided Caliphs (Abū Bakr, ’Umar, ’Uthmān and ’Ali).

● It was non-existent during the lifetime of the four great Imāms (Abū Ḥanīfah, Mālik, Shāfi’ē and Aḥmad).

● It was non-existent during the lifetime of the first three generations; concerning whom the Prophet ﷺ said:
((خيرُ الناس قَرْنِي، ثم الذين يَلُونَهُم، ثم الذين يَلُونَهُم))
“The best generation is my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them.”

As such, we say as Imām Mālik raḥimahullāh said:
ما لم يكُن يومئذ دِينًا، فلن يكون اليوم دِينًا.
“Whatever was not part of the religion then, will not be part of the religion today.”

💡We know for sure that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ did not pass away until Allāh had completed the religion and perfected the blessing upon him, as Allāh said:
{الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَامَ دِينًا}
“Today I have perfected for you your religion, and completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as a religion.”

💡And he ﷺ warned us against innovating new practices into the religion, as he ﷺ said:
((مَن أَحدثَ في أَمرِنا هذا ما ليس مِنه، فهو رَدٌّ)).
“Whoever introduces into this matter of ours something that is not part of it, will have it rejected.”

▪️ In summary, those who permit/celebrate the Prophet’s birthday have no evidence whatsoever from the Qurʿān, Sunnah, Consensus, action of the Companions, or correct analogy (Qiyās).

And if you are still in doubt, then please answer the following four questions:

1️⃣ Is celebrating the Prophet's birthday an act of obedience or disobedience?
▪️ If you say it is an act of disobedience, the discussion ends here.
▪️ And if you say it is an act of obedience, then move onto the next question:

2️⃣ Did the Prophet ﷺ know about this act of obedience or was he ignorant of it?
▪️I don't think you will accuse the Prophet ﷺ of ignorance; because this is Kufr. Hence the discussion ends here.
▪️But if you say he knew about it, then we move onto the next question:

3️⃣ If he knew about it, did he ﷺ convey it to his Ummah?
▪️ I don't think you will accuse the Prophet ﷺ of concealing part of the message while Allāh ﷻ has said:
{يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ وَإِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ}
“O Messenger, convey what has been sent down to you from your Lord, and if you do not do so, then you have not conveyed His message.”
▪️ And if you say he conveyed it, then we say, where is the evidence?

If you produce some evidence, then we move onto the final question:

4️⃣ Is it conceivable that the first three generations of this Ummah were ignorant of these evidences while you are more knowledgeable than them?! Or did they know about it and avoid acting upon it, but you were guided to act upon it?!

We ask Allāh ﷻ, Lord of the Great Throne, to guide us all to the truth and the straight path. May Allāh’s peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet and Messenger, Muḥammad ibn ’Abdullah, his family, his companions, his wives, and whoever follows his guidance until the Day of Judgment.
𝐓𝐄𝐍 (𝟏𝟎) 𝐆𝐎𝐋𝐃𝐄𝐍 𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐆𝐄

For those who are married and those preparing to get married soon.

𝟏. 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐇𝐀𝐒 𝐀 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒

Only Allah is free from weakness. Every human being has flaws. If you focus only on your spouse’s weakness, you will fail to benefit from their strengths.

Allah ﷻ says:

“Allah wants to lighten for you; and mankind was created weak.”
(Surah An-Nisā’ 4:28)

𝟐. 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐇𝐀𝐒 𝐀 𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐇𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘

No one is an angel. Do not dig into your spouse’s past. What matters is their present and future with you. Forgive and move forward.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Every son of Adam sins, and the best of those who sin are those who repent.”
(Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2499, Hasan)

𝟑. 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐒 𝐈𝐓𝐒 𝐎𝐖𝐍 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐒

Marriage is not always a bed of roses. Trials are part of life. Real love is tested during hardships—stand by your spouse through thick and thin.

Allah ﷻ says:

“And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to the patient.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:155)

𝟒. 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐒 𝐃𝐈𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐋𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐋𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐔𝐂𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐒

Do not compare your marriage with others. Be patient, work hard, and place your trust in Allah.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Look at those who are below you (in worldly matters) and do not look at those who are above you, for this will make you appreciate the blessings of Allah upon you.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari 6490, Sahih Muslim 2963)

𝟓. 𝐓𝐎 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐈𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐃𝐄𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐀 𝐖𝐀𝐑 (𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐓 𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐆𝐄)

Marriage faces enemies like pride, anger, adultery, selfishness, and neglect. Be prepared to fight against these with patience, love, and taqwa.

Allah ﷻ says:

“Indeed, Shayṭān is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy.”
(Surah Fāṭir 35:6)

𝟔. 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐍𝐎 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐆𝐄

Marriage is not ready-made. It requires effort, patience, and mutual understanding.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“A believing man should not hate a believing woman. If he dislikes one of her traits, he will be pleased with another.”
(Sahih Muslim 1469)

𝟕. 𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐇 𝐃𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐆𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐀 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍

Your spouse is given to you as a “work in progress.” With love, du‘ā, and encouragement, both can grow and improve.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“The most perfect of the believers in faith are those with the best character, and the best of you are those who are best to their women.”
(Sunan al-Tirmidhī 1162, Sahih)

𝟖. 𝐓𝐎 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐈𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐀 𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐊

Life circumstances may change—wealth, health, beauty, or other situations. Accept changes with patience and tawakkul.

Allah ﷻ says:

“Perhaps you dislike something and Allah makes therein much good.”
(Surah An-Nisā’ 4:19)

𝟗. 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐀 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓; 𝐈𝐓 𝐈𝐒 𝐀 𝐒𝐀𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐂𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐓

Marriage is not temporary. It requires commitment and sincerity. Divorce should not be threatened or taken lightly.

Allah ﷻ says:

“And they (wives) have taken from you a firm covenant.”
(Surah An-Nisā’ 4:21)

And the Prophet ﷺ said:

“Among the lawful things, divorce is the most hated by Allah.”
(Sunan Abū Dāwūd 2178, Hasan)

𝟏𝟎. 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐒 𝐀 𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐏𝐀𝐘

Marriage thrives on what you put into it—love, mercy, sacrifice, and patience. Without giving, you cannot expect peace and happiness.

Allah ﷻ says:

“And live with them in kindness…”
(Surah An-Nisā’ 4:19)

And:

“They are a garment for you, and you are a garment for them.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:187)

𝑫𝒖‘ā: 𝑴𝒂𝒚 𝑨𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒉 𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒖𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒅𝒐𝒎, 𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒆𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒅𝒖𝒏𝒚𝒂 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒓𝒆𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝒖𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝑱𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒂𝒉. Ā𝒎ī𝒏.

Two headlines sit side-by-side

Both are vile crimes – but let’s be honest: which is worse? The asylum seeker who allegedly told a 14-year-old girl, “You’d make a good wife,” or the white constable proven guilty of raping a child?

Yet, according to this country’s outraged mobs, it’s the former that warrants a riot.

The disparity in their reaction isn't just news – it's a diagnosis. It reveals a society where the identity of the perpetrator can matter more than the horror of the crime itself, and where performative anger is too often misdirected.
On the authority of A'ishah,
that The Messenger of Allah
he when صلى الله عليه وسلم
would see rain, he would say:
("O Allah, (send down) a
beneficial downpour"》

Man came without anything,

Then he strives for everything,

Then he leaves everything,

And he leaves without anything,

Then he is held accountable for everything.
