NEW BUG in our testing branch
subscribe to our mailing list for further info
http://mail.parrotsec.org/listsub

it seems that initramfs-tools 0.125 breaks the boot of our live builds:

it raises a kernel panic in one of the final stages of the init system as it seems unable to load console.

the specific stage is /scripts/init-bottom

and the error raised is

run-init: opening console: No such file or directory

the bug seems to be connected to this thread https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=811566 that refers to an identical bug of initramfs-tools 0.121 that was fixed in 0.122

the previous working release was using initramfs-tools 0.123, while the latest 0.125 present in debian testing has introduced this bug again.

we know that the same version is used by kali (kali-rolling branch) and debian (testing and stretch branches), do someone know if this bug affects their live ISOs too?

anyway i'll try to downgrade and restore the last working version to release the new beta build
