👉 National Panchayati Raj Day started on 24 April 1993, when the 73rd Constitutional Amendment Act came into force.
👉 Through this amendment, Panchayati Raj institutions got constitutional status and three-tier panchayat system was adopted across the country.
👉 The then Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh declared 24 April as National Panchayati Raj Day for the first time in the year 2010.
👉 Since then, this day is celebrated every year on 24 April all over the country.
⭐️Three levels of three-tier Panchayat system:
1. Gram Panchayat (village level)
2. Panchayat Samiti (block/middle level)
3. Zila Parishad (district level)
