Note: Handful users may still notice some of the liquidity is absent from the interface (due to bug found in native USDC deposit). If you're affected, expect it to be transferred directly to your wallet instead to your position. This process is scheduled on Tuesday/Wednesday.

Hello, Parallax Finance members! We have some important information regarding the recent upgrade on the CALM Vaults and its ongoing effects:
A few hours ago, our developers implemented a new method to fight improving Impermanent Loss (IL).
We want to reassure everyone that there has been no loss of funds due to this issue.
Currently, deposit and withdrawal services are paused. Additionally, the visibility of your position value and rewards is temporarily unavailable as we work on fixing the issue. For this reason your deposit value will be incorrectly displayed in debank and similar service providers.
The upgrade is happening in the ARB/USDC pool, particularly in the compounded pool that accrues fees.
Our team is actively working on resolving this issue. We will also provide a comprehensive explanation and an on-chain post-mortem analysis to ensure full transparency.
Any funds that appear to be missing are actually safe in another vault within the same contract. We are in the process of rebalancing, and after the update, all balances will be accurately reflected.

Post Mortem on Vault & On-chain TVL Display Mismatch | January 10, 2024
Our development team made some important updates to our HAL9000 algorithm, specifically addressing Impermanent Loss and Slippage.
Mitigating Impermanent Loss: We've refined the system's ability to select ideal ticks for optimal swap to both current and future positions.
Refining Slippage Strategies: Slippage, however, presented a more complex challenge. In essence, slippage is the difference between the expected price of a trade and the executed price. At the slippage rate of 0.2%, our system wasn't utilizing all the available funds as effectively as it could due to some intricacies in Uniswap's swap mechanisms. Adjusting the slippage rate to 1%, however, resolved this issue. We've disabled this feature for further analysis and research.
Addressing the Liquidity Issue: On Jan 10’s instance, the low slippage rate caused a significant liquidity underutilization during the ARB/USDC rebalance, resulting in incorrect allocation in the compound pool and ETH/USDC vault claimed this fund as its own TVL. We have rectified this by retrieving the liquidity back to ARB/USDC vault, ensuring all positions reflect their accurate pre-event state. No loss of funds.

Preliminary live testing has been done to arrive at this decision. The ETH vaults are suitable for sizeable LPers, and in order to maintain the performance edge and be inclusive of diverse user profile, we'd like to continue deploying more vaults on Arbitrum, our homebase.
