Hello everyone,
I scored 79 Marks in Paper 6D- Economic Laws. Here is my strategy, I hope it helpsπ
Study 30-60minutes daily.
You don't have to memorise the provisions, you just have to know what is where, and having mutliple readings will make it easier for you to locate which provision is where.
A strategy is a must for this subject. And you need not copy anyone's strategy, you can make your own strategy depending on what suits you.
My strategy was to have a good index, and knowing how to use the index.
I used Sanidhya Saraf sir's master index.
It's very detailed.
I made few notes on index as well for the important topics, so as to locate a topic easily.
I used to study atleast an hour for eco law, made notes in the book itself, underlined the matter that was revelant.
I used to revise the provisions from Gaurav sir youtube videos.
The key is to understand the important provisions.
I did Case Laws from Gaurav sir videos, so it saved a lot of time!
I revised 3 times all the case laws through his videos.
I also had Case Study Digest with me.
So I made a summary of the CSD as well. It's useful if ICAI asks same question or similar question.
In my attempt there were questions from CSD, so the summary did help me a lot.
I also had a summary of past MTP, RTP as well, which helped me to know what were the important topics.
In my attempt, 2 questions came from Student Journal, and luckily I took it with me, so it was a win-win situation.
I gave around 3 mock test of this paper, and scored below 50 everytime!
So, just practice and practice, and don't focus on the how much you are scoring.
Material used by me:-
The most important one- ICAI Study Material (Module)
Master Index
Case Law summary
CSD compilation
Past MTP, RTP compilation
In my attempt, most of the questions were copy paste or similar, so it was easier to attempt, as my compilation helped me find the questions in books easily. Lucky me!
But not everytime this will happen.
So whenever you give mock test, don't use compilations / CSD.
Just use Module and master index.
It will help you prepare for the worst.
All the bestπ
