The final frontier on the Decentralization journey of Matic : Public Delegations external nodes begins 15th December 🚀🚀🚀

The months of hardwork and things are heating up on all fronts on Phase 3 of our mainnet & staking rollout! During this phase, we’re opening up validator slots to community-run nodes to supplement our strong backbone top-tier validators onboarded during Phase 2.

⛓Current validator stats:
• 62 validator slots open
• 30 top-tier nodes
• 25 community nodes

All stakers will be required to re-delegate their tokens to external validators, before the Foundation nodes are turned off in the first week of January, 2021. There will be an easy mechanism to switch delegations in a single transaction (more info on that coming later).

Tech maven Steve Wozniak launched a new company this week — more than four decades after he started Apple with the late Steve Jobs.

Wozniak’s latest venture, Efforce, aims to use cryptocurrency and blockchain technology to make it cheaper and easier for companies to fund environmentally friendly projects.

The company says its goal is to “democratize” the $250 billion market for energy-efficiency projects, just like Apple expanded access to personal computers.

“We created Efforce to be the first decentralized platform that allows everyone to participate and benefit financially from worldwide energy efficiency projects, and create meaningful environmental change,” Wozniak said in a Friday statement.

Efforce has created a cryptocurrency token called “WOZX” — named after Wozniak — that investors can purchase and use to buy into in energy-efficiency projects that energy services companies list on its platform.

MicroStrategy Completes $650 Million Offering of 0.750% Convertible Senior Notes Due 2025

MicroStrategy estimates that the net proceeds from the sale of the notes will be approximately $634.9 million, after deducting the initial purchaser’s discounts and commissions and estimated offering expenses payable by MicroStrategy. 

MicroStrategy intends to invest the net proceeds from the sale of the notes in bitcoin in accordance with its Treasury Reserve Policy pending identification of working capital needs and other general corporate purposes.
