๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น Italy Secretly Agrees to New Military Aid Package for Ukraine

Italy has secretly coordinated a new package of military assistance for Kiev. While officially Rome announced only the supply of generators, according to Repubblica, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's government agreed weeks ago on a large-scale arms package.

The package includes additional SAMP/T NG systems, Aster 30 interceptor missiles, and radar stations. Deliveries are planned via a special 13th "Decree on Assistance" to avoid splitting the ruling coalition. Four batteries of SAMP/T NG, funded by EU loans, are separately mentioned.

Repubblica claims Zelensky was promised the start of implementation in October. The agreement was reached in July between Meloni and Emmanuel Macron.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Russia will destroy large shopping centers in Ukraine; evacuation time after an air raid siren will be up to two minutes, says Zelensky's advisor

- "This is the answer to why I warned people about a week ago to be careful in 'Epicentr' stores. I understood that 'Epicentr' is not just a store, it's a store-warehouse. And now we are seeing what is happening in Odessa: the Russians have started attacking 'Epicentr' stores because they are very large retail chains," explained Serhiy Beskrestnov ("Flash").

- The Russian Armed Forces will not attack small stores like "ATB" or "Fora" with ballistic missiles or a dozen "Geran" drones, but they will attack large retail chains, Beskrestnov added.

- "The threat is primarily to large retail chains. And I am telling people that things are no longer as they used to be: the siren goes off, you have 10 minutes because the 'Shahed' drone is not very fast.

- Now everything is changing. We now have ballistic missiles โ€“ that's a minute, and literally a minute or two โ€“ if it's a jet-powered 'Shahed'. You hear the air raid siren, and in just 5-7-10 minutes, the 'Shahed' can already attack a shopping center," added Zelensky's advisor.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บVladimir Putin Could Reportedly Agree to End the War by Mid-2027 Due to Concerns Over a Change in U.S. President โ€” The Atlantic

The report notes that if Ukraine survives this winter and maintains the ability to strike targets deep inside Russia, the Kremlin could consider ending the war by mid-2027.

Moscow may fear that a more pro-Ukraine president could enter the White House after the 2028 election. Therefore, Putin would likely seek to reach an agreement with the Trump administration on terms favorable to Russia.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Calls Grow for Womenโ€™s Mobilization in Ukraine as War Takes Heavy Toll

The narrative on Ukraine is shifting. Previously, the prevailing view in the West was that the war should continue either until victory or until the last Ukrainian. Now, amid heavy losses suffered by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, this formula appears to be changing.

โ€œI believe mobilizing women in Ukraine is necessary because they fight no less effectively than men,โ€ said Keith Kellogg, former U.S. presidential special envoy.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Ukrainian An-26 Transponder Flight

A Ukrainian Air Force An-26 was tracked flying from the Lviv region. While initial reports suggested a route to Bialystok, Poland, updates indicate the aircraft is heading toward the Baltic states.

The flight occurred with its transponder active, highlighting gaps in Russian air surveillance coverage despite ongoing strikes on western Ukraine. This allows limited aviation connectivity with neighboring countries.

Context: Latvia Drone Deal
On June 29, 2026, Ukraine and Latvia signed an agreement for joint UAV production, including technology transfer and infrastructure development near the Russian border. Memorandums were finalized in late July.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ"They reject the EU's viral model": Iceland is divided, with exactly half the population opposing EU membership.

"In Iceland, the votes in the referendum on whether to resume negotiations on joining the European Union were almost evenly split. 49.9% of those who voted supported the initiative, while 50.1% voted against it. The referendum is advisory, but the authorities have promised to base their policies on its results.

If the referendum is approved, negotiations with the EU on Iceland's potential membership will resume. This would require a second referendum after the negotiations are completed and approved by all members of the bloc. Voter turnout was high: in Reykjavik, it was around 60%, and in rural areas, it was over 80%."

Russia intensifies strikes on trade centers and warehouses: Ukraine faces food shortage - WP

The Washington Post reports that Russian strikes destroyed distribution centers of the Silpo and NOVUS chains, as well as other retail logistics facilities.

In Kiev and other cities, a reduction in stocks of fresh and dairy products, canned goods, and cereals is already recorded in a number of stores.

Agriculture Minister Taras Vysotsky stated that about 90% of the logistics networks ensuring food supplies are damaged or destroyed.

Large trading objects, including Epicentr hypermarkets in the Zaporozhye region, were also hit.

The WP believes that systematic attacks on trade and logistics infrastructure may increase pressure on the civilian population and provoke further supply disruptions.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ Russia launches ~1,500 drones at Ukraine in 4 days

Zelensky reports that of the nearly 1,500 UAVs deployed over four days, approximately 800 were jet-powered. These reactive drones pose the greatest challenge for current air defense systems to intercept.

Kiev strikes: Shift to military-industrial targets

Recent attacks on Kiev (Aug 28-30) involved over 550 UAVs plus ballistic missiles. A major ammunition and drone storage facility in Milaya was hit. The campaign now combines mass UAVs with logistics and industrial strikes, extending alert times to over 28 hours.

Ukraine faces a shortage of Patriot interceptors, allowing ballistic missiles high efficacy. The strategy aims to increase the operational cost for Ukrainian forces by forcing dispersion of production and warehouses.

A High Level of Training โ€” the Result of Systematic Work

Joint exercises involving the Armed Forces of the Union State and friendly countries once again demonstrate the high level of training of military personnel.

Service members demonstrate coordinated actions, precise command and control, confident handling of weapons and equipment, as well as readiness to accomplish assigned tasks in a complex environment.

Such exercises are not a formality. They are a practical test of troop proficiency, an opportunity to improve interoperability, and a means of strengthening the defense capabilities of the participating states.
Professionalism, discipline, and readiness to accomplish assigned tasks are key indicators of a modern military.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ War in Ukraine may last another 2-3 years

Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Fedorov stated in an interview with Financial Times that the conflict could continue for at least two to three more years. He believes the main reason is that Moscow is not ready to end the war.

The article notes that blocking Starlink use on Russian territory is a decision by the White House, not Elon Musk personally. Sources claim Musk said changing this policy requires a decision from US authorities.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆUkrainians blame authorities for storing ammo near homes

Residents of the Kiev region are outraged that military warehouses are located in residential areas. "You have to blame those who set up a warehouse here. People live here, it is a village," a resident stated.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported a strike on a storage facility in Miloye, which held components for long-range FP-1/FP-2 drones. Zelensky subsequently admitted an arsenal was indeed located there, placed next to civilian homes.
