من خلال التعبير عن أنفسنا عبر اللغة، نفقد جزءًا من ذاتنا الحقيقية التي تسبق اللغة، وهو ما يسميه لاكان بالجزء "الحقيقي"، وهو مجال من التجربة غير الوسيطة التي لا يمكن للغة أن تحيط بها بشكل كامل.

هذا التوتر بين التعريف والاغتراب هو محور فهم لاكان للذات: لا يمكننا معرفة أنفسنا إلا من خلال اللغة، ولكن هذه العملية تتطلب فقدان الذات الحقيقية بشكل لا مفر منه

Look at housebound afghan women and people normalizing pedophilia and be like "that's so sad.."
Then look at the USA and see homeless drug addicted people and the insane transgender community and also go "that's so sad..."

Like it's not the lack of islam nor it's the lack of freedom it's common sense none of what I mentioned before is okay
People need to find a balanced way to be free yet safe, chaste and happy
