The IDF says it killed Muhammad Jamal Ahmed Eid, a Nukhba force commander in Hamas' military wing, in a strike in the al-Bureij area. According to the IDF, he took part in the October 7 invasion of Israel. A commander in Hamas' naval unit was also killed.

Lt. Col. "Aleph," intelligence officer of the Gaza Division on and before October 7, 2023, has been formally dismissed from the IDF.

Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir announced the dismissal in November alongside several other senior officers. Aleph challenged it in court, delaying the committee that was to remove him. On June 30 the court rejected all his claims and ruled the process lawful.

Personnel Directorate head Maj. Gen. Dado Bar Kalifa ordered his release today. He may appeal to Zamir.
