Officers of the Gideon unit, also known as Unit 33, found the 35 year old in a store. Police describe him as a Tanzim operative with "access to weapons." He resisted and tried to flee, and was shot in the leg before being detained.

He has been transferred to the Shin Bet for questioning. Palestinian media name him as Rami Shalbai.
