A Homily on the Thirteenth Sunday of Pentecost
His Holiness Patriarch Kirill

The walls of a building may be imperfect, but if the foundation is laid correctly, it will withstand even an earthquake. It is the same in our lives: While laying the right foundation, we don’t always build the house correctly, sometimes yielding to various types of temptations and allurements. Alexander Voznesensky

As schismatic groups seem to be popping up on the territory of canonical Churches like mushrooms, we have to ask: Is it all happening by itself, or is someone carefully cultivating it? The following investigation of a strange situation in Northern Cyprus can only leave us wondering…

A “hieromonk” of the schismatic OCU, Leonty, not only stood by and watched this happen, but actively participated, as the video shows. Despite the aggressiveness of the schismatic, the canonical priest barely defended himself, and displayed Christ-like meekness.

On the Twentieth Anniversary of His Repose

For those of us who were blessed to have known this extraordinary man, it is hard to believe that twenty years have passed since September 17, 1999. On that day, Bishop Basil was to have received American citizenship, but the Providence of God transferred him to Heavenly citizenship instead. He was 84 years old.

Pat. Bartholomew discusses ecumenical relations in Vatican with Ukrainian Uniate leader
http://orthochristian.com/123981.html

One wonders why Patriarch Bartholomew is discussing the prospects for ecumenical dialogue of the allegedly autocephalous OCU with the Uniates; if the OCU is truly autocephalous, another Church would not discuss their possibilities of dialogue on their behalf, as that Church would have zero influence on the government and policies of an autocephalous Church, even if it is the mother Church.

Fr. Ted Bobosh

These two saints lived long lives in faithfulness to God, but had little to show for it–at least until the end of their lives when God blessed them with one child. That child is the forerunner of the salvation of the world.
