Great news, everybody! Gate.io, one of the premier cryptocurrency exchanges, has partnered with us to launch a trading competition with a $40,000 prize pool!

Rules
✔️ Create both a Gate and an Origami account
✔️ Connect your Gate account to you Origami account using the API keys
✔️ Start spot and futures trading

Prize allocation 🏆
- First place will take home 20% of the prize pool
- Second will get 15%
- Third, 10%
- 4-10th place will each get a share of 30% of the prize pool
- 11-20th place will each get a share of 25% of the prize pool

✅ Follow this step-by-step guide to set up and launch your trading bot on Origami.

Step 1: Add a New Bot

- Open Origami and navigate to the "Bots" tab in the top menu.
- Here you’ll see any existing bots you’ve already set up.
- To create a new bot, click the "Add Bot" button in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Enter Bot Details

A form will pop up where you’ll need to provide the following details:
- Bot Name – Give your bot a name (e.g., "Grid_bot").
- Account – Select the exchange account the bot will operate on.
- Coins – Choose the base currency (Base Coin) and the counter currency (Counter Coin) for the trading pair.

Once you've filled out the details, click "Next" to move on.

Step 3: Set Up Your Trading Strategy (if you’re not using a preset)

Now Configure the key settings that will guide your bot’s trading actions:

- execute_price – Set the execution price. You can use the ticker() function to automatically pull the current price.
- execute_volume – Enter the trading volume in units of the base currency.
- buy_orders_count and sell_orders_count – Set how many buy and sell orders the bot should place.

After setting the parameters, click "Save" to store your bot’s settings. Your bot is now ready to trade based on your strategy.

Step 4: Import a Preset (Optional)

- Select a Preset.
- Click "Import Preset."
- In the pop-up window, select a preset from the list.
- You can switch between Bot (global strategies) and Grid (order grids) categories.

Check the preset parameters on the right side of the window. If everything looks good, click "Import" to apply the settings.

After selecting a preset, the parameters will appear on the right side of the window.
You can adjust the values before importing to customize the strategy to your preferences.

- After importing, the preset parameters will automatically fill in the bot creation form.
- Make your final edits.
- Once you’re happy with the setup, click "Save" or "Save and Exit."
