Short-dated bonds are often described as a way to take less interest rate risk.

But shorter maturities also shape credit risk. While an issuer’s bonds may carry similar credit ratings across maturities, the risk of default accumulates over time. Investing at the shorter end can therefore provide exposure to credit spread while limiting how long capital is exposed to the issuer.

Read the article on how a short-dated profile shapes the bond fund underlying HYBOND, and what it means when that credit exposure is used as on-chain collateral.

What takes tokenization to $1 trillion? Making financial assets more useful once they move on-chain.

At Conviction 2026, our Founder and CEO, Jeremy Ng, highlighted 24/7 fiat rails, deeper secondary liquidity, and integration with DeFi markets, as key factors that will increase utility and drive tokenization at scale.

OpenEden is putting that into practice through digital assets such as TBILL and HYBOND, which bring BNY-managed US Treasuries and BNY Investments’ short dated high yield bond strategy on-chain.

Many of the world’s major financial institutions are beginning to redesign how assets are issued, distributed, settled, and used.

At OpenEden, our regulated tokenization infrastructure is built for this shift, supporting financial products across their on-chain lifecycle and connecting them with investors across global markets.

That is how we tokenize global finance.

A tokenized product is only as strong as the structure behind it.

For institutions, the key questions sit beneath the token itself: who issues it, what legal rights it represents, how assets are held, and how investors can access and redeem it.

Our Founder and CEO, Jeremy Ng, joined EX.IO to discuss the infrastructure required for tokenized finance to scale.

How can tokenized assets scale in Asia?

Infrastructure is one part of the equation. Distribution is another.

During a closed-door roundtable at the Institutional Summit, Duke Du, our Co-Founder and CTO, made the case that both must evolve together for tokenized assets to reach broader adoption across the region.

Thanks Coinfest and ICEx Group for the invitation!
