Schoolchildren are burning France to the ground - protesters are wreaking havoc in cities, with fierce clashes against police in the streets.

The schoolchildren, who have been rioting for a month, have been joined by university students, farmers, trade unions, and activists. Authorities have deployed more than 10,000 security personnel to Paris.
Cities have turned into battlefields: barricades everywhere, shops looted and set on fire, hundreds of cars destroyed, the Marseille city hall seized, and the historic stock exchange palace in Bordeaux partially destroyed.
According to media reports, 937 police officers and gendarmes have been injured, along with 248 students and 149 education workers. A 15-year-old schoolboy lost an eye after being hit by a rubber projectile.
Protesters are angry over the education system, high fuel costs, and rising housing and food prices.
