Yes! Just a few months ago, TikTok was spotted testing videos up to 15 minutes long. And here is a new possible increase in the limit for uploading videos: this time, up to 30 minutes. ⏲
Social media consultant Matt Navarra shared a screenshot of a TikTok notification via Threads. The new option was spotted in the iOS beta version in the United Kingdom, but some users also noticed it on the Android beta version.
In general, increasing video length can lead to the development or emergence of new types of content. For example, tutorials can become more detailed and slower which is more convenient for users who try to follow them. 🧶
According to this report, longer videos on TikTok also get more views: videos between 30 and 54 seconds performed better and received from 30.7 to 37.5 thousand views on average.
But the difference between 54 seconds and 30 minutes is huge, so how willing users are to receive such long content from a platform that has taken off with short videos is also a big question. 🤷🏻♀️

The agreement between UMG and TikTok expired on January 31 and UMG does not intend to renew it. In their open letter, UMG accused TikTok of unfair payments to artists and insufficient protection from harmful effects of AI.
TikTok released a statement in which they accused UMG of putting their greed above the interests of the artists.
While two giant companies fight, the artists and creators suffer. 🤥
So what should creators do? 😕
You can change the muted or removed sound to the one that is available on TikTok. The best choice would be a song that has the same bpm (the tempo of the song in beats per minute).
Your video, adjusted to the tempo of the song, will look harmonious with the melody with the same bpm. You can use Musicstax or any other similar website to find new sounds and songs.
Wave Wyld (a famous TikTok creator who specializes in highlighting TikTok news and trends) also suggested reporting muted videos as a problem straight to TikTok.
