But it seems that the company realized that their role in the media space is about content discovery and not in keeping up with real-life friendships.
TikTok confirmed that the new Explore Feed was in early testing in a few regions with select users. There’s no info when this feature will be available to all users – and whether TikTok will develop it further at all. It'll depend on how much users will be engaged with Explore Feed and if it generates the metrics TikTok wants to achieve.
