Ondo State Covid19 Response fund releases first public report of its activities to date.
Today, we recorded three new cases and an unprecedented number of deaths from #Covid19 in Ondo State. Two individuals both died at the UNIMED on Ondo town this morning due to Covid. The third case who is currently at the IDH in Akure undergoing treatment.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu SAN, enjoins the Members of the public who had patronised the "Okirika" and shoes stalls at Oja Oba market in Akure, where the 43rd case was picked up, in their own interest and for the good of Ondo State, to present themselves for immediate testing.

Yesterday, Monday 8th June, 2020, the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, received in audience, members of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Akure branch.

The engineers donated N500,000 to the Ondo State Government to cushion the effects of a dynamite explosion at Eleyewo community in Akure North LGA of the state.

It will be recalled that a truck conveying dynamite exploded around the town along Akure-Owo express road on March 28 which destroyed schools, roads, several houses and other public buildings.

Dr Christianah Ijagbemi, Chairman, NSE, Akure presented the cheque to Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State in Akure at the Government House. B

Governor Akeredolu commended the engineers for the support to cushion the impact of the explosion on the community.
We recorded a total number of 19 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 12 days of which 42% were community transmission. This is against the 24 cases announced as at 27th May when I addressed you. These additional 19 new cases add up to make a total of 43 cases as at June 8th.

EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale spoke with reporters on telephone. He said“I’m highly disappointed in that reporter who wrote the story; if he has any personal issue to settle with the Ondo State Government, he should not use the EFCC as a vehicle. “There was no such operation on officials of the Ondo State Government. The reporter in question called me and I told him there was nothing of such; so for him to go ahead and write such a report shows how unprofessional some of us can be”,

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 visited the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Abuja, FCT, where he met with the Director General of the NDE, Dr Nassir Nadal Argungu , on tackling unemployment issues in Ondo State.
