okay so i was listening to Meri Podcast and something has been bugging me for a while. i am not a developer. i cant code. i cant debug. if you want that go find Andy, he knows how. i am just a designer.
so i did what designers do when something bugs them.
i opened Illustrator. 😂
still working on it. might be generic. might be good. not sure yet. but the current logo has too many sound indicating elements, it's too long, AND the letters are supposed to look like a microphone.
they look like a frying spatula. (or it may just be me 🤷♂️)
i'm sorry but someone had to say it. 🙂
will share the redesign once it's done.

is it perfect? no. does it feel a little generic? yes and i am at peace with that.
but it's not a spatula anymore and that's a win.🙂

Introducing THE ETHIOPIC MICROGRAPHICS TREND
Ethiopia has many different cultures. Within these cultures, we have unique clothing, architecture, language, music, and so much more. I was trying to use some of the micro-graphic elements I saw on Pinterest, but why do that when there is a ton of inspiration sitting and waiting for us right here? Think of your mother’s kemis tilet, your brother’s korki game,🌚 our country’s architecture, and so many other endless things.
I designed some of the ideas from my mind in the way I see my country. You might be a designer too, so why don’t we make this a trend? A trend that builds a collection of MICRO-DETAILS, making any design look aesthetic and ETHIOPIC. Not only that, but this is also a creative and smart way to display formal elements.
I’ll be creating more on this, and if you’re a designer, speak through your design and let’s make this universal gang
