I believe that tiktok destroyed our generation ability to connect with people
People get bored too easily. They’re no longer inclined to talk about normal, simple topics anymore. Even a simple “how was your day?” is enough to bore them, because you somehow need to provide huge dopamine hits to catch their attention. It’s nearly impossible to connect with new people nowadays, unless they’re completely detached from short videos and cheap dopamine, which is very rare.

And relationships feel more artificial than ever. People always want to skip straight to the end, to that phase where we’re already madly in love, without giving things enough time to develop naturally. Those who want something with you tend to be extremely direct and straightforward: they ask objective questions and bring up serious relationship matters almost immediately. The problem is that they do it far too soon, and even if you accept their proposal to date, it doesn’t feel natural or truly based on love, because everything was rushed to the point where there wasn’t enough time for real feelings to grow.
