I've once read a theory that places with calm, pleasant environments tend to produce lazier and less intelligent people because they don't have to worry about winter. Honestly, it's an interesting idea, because I've never had to prepare for winter myself—I mean buying warm clothes or purchasing certain things to heat my house. This is probably why Indigenous people in Brazil were considered "undeveloped," they didn't need to struggle for survival. They could simply stay in their areas, and whenever they needed food, they could just pick fruit from the trees or go fishing.
