I’m not addicted to smartphones at all. I don’t know if you guys can relate, but it feels so stupid to spend all day on a smartphone. I think I feel this way because I come from a time before smartphones, when I spent all day online but on computers instead. I hate typing on smartphones, and using a browser on them is simply unbearable. I honestly can’t understand how people are so glued to them. To me, the only useful things about smartphones are listening to music and occasionally taking pictures.

I'm talking about this because I saw a trend about "dumbphones" and how they can help you to not be wasting your time on smartphones... for me it's so unnecessary... There isn't much you can do on smartphones tho

I know... I live in a city that resembles Guri City from Haibane Renmei. I did quite a bit of research before moving here. I wanted something countryside-like, but with a small, comfortable town as well. I also researched towns with the best climate, not too hot in the summer and comfortably cold in the winter. Summer here has average temperatures of 20°C–27°C, and winter averages around 5°C to 0°C; sometimes it goes lower, like −5°C, but only for about two weeks.

I believe that if you’re not doing well in the place where you currently live, you might need to move — alone. I know it’s risky, but finding a place that truly suits your needs can completely change your life. Don’t cling to your hometown as if it were everything in the world, you can move wherever you want. And don’t worry if things go wrong because you can always go back.
