pretentious people think that simply reading any book automatically makes them more intelligent. Stupid, to say the least. This mindset is the result of an extremely annoying academic culture, where the pinnacle of living is to fit into a specific stereotype: someone who reads a lot.

have you ever stopped to think that reading tons of books in the past was basically the same as browsing through a bunch of random websites? It’s literally the equivalent — you don’t really learn much from that alone.

Girls who make their makeup too obvious don’t know how to do makeup at all. Girls who truly know how to do makeup make it imperceptible to the eye, at most, you notice some subtle details around the eyes. Everything else just makes you assume, “that’s not makeup, she’s just naturally good-looking.”
