I know, he has way less followers than me, but I can't stop thinking how marvelous his writing is — he express himself in a interesting way so easily, without even posting pictures at all. I need to go back to reading novels, I feel that all my personality came from reading novels(and visual novels) and then merging it to my personality and vocabulary.

What's the current meta for finding a girlfriend as a hikikomori? I am kinda out of the loop cause I haven't dated anyone for like 4 or 5 years.
Discord or Reddit, there’s no way around it.
You might try Tinder, but I highly discourage it, since it’s mostly girls looking for someone with enough money to throw a little party and then hook up.
There are subreddits where you can ask for friendship in your area, and of course there’s discord, where you can find people your age in your country, and considering you don’t live in Russia, your country is probably small enough that living 3 or 4 hours away isn’t really a problem.
You could also try IG, but you need to be good looking(at some degree) and interesting there if you want to attract someone, since no one is really looking for dates —but there’s a good chance a girl might find you interesting anyway. That’s how it worked for me and some of my friends in the past.
