I was talking about this a few days ago, and my opinion remains the same—no! I believe that sex is indeed an important aspect of visual novels, as it represents the ultimate state of intimacy. Nothing makes you feel closer to someone than sex—it is during sex that you can see layers of a person that no one else can (unless she is a whore).

When you're always around someone, there are layers they hide from you in order to socialize and not creep you out. In moments of such deep intimacy, you are able to see through much of that facade and truly know them. After all, you can't hide much when you're completely naked. Sweet talk like "I love you" is not enough to make you feel truly loved or intimate.

But of course, you wouldn't be able to see such deep layers without being married. It's almost a crime to penetrate deep into someone's existence without even being engaged. I truly despise casual sex.

To understand what the hell I’m even saying, we need to go way back in history to talk about the Gothic people: they were originally pagan people who inhabited parts of Europe, but the majority were in Hispania (today’s Spain and Portugal). They all converted to Christianity and became very religious. They invented great religious architecture that remains prominent to this day. The most notable example is the mixing of dragons and gargoyles with Christianity. They also created ornamented crosses that modern goths wear today.
