I think this is some sort of low stress life problem, like, you're so used to a quiet life that you can't really be put into stressful situations and get the grip of that... that's actually a bad trait whose I also have and I want to change it.

I also have another problem whose I need to fix ASAP:
I have no survival instincts. I mean, I can't sense danger. I don't get worried when food is about to run out, so I don't prepare properly. I also don't really mind the rain because, in my head, it's not going to get me completely soaked. Then I end up getting totally soaked...

I find it weird to see that you guys read japanese stuff in your native languages... I really REALLY hate reading things in portuguese, specially weeb content, since they try to localize too much, even the jokes inserting stupid brazilian jokes and shit.

Some years ago, I posted a clip from the film Love Hotel (1985) on youtube. It was aimed at a brazilian audience because, at the time, I was eagerly searching for spaces where people shared my interest in Japanese films. Ironically, only one Brazilian person commented on the clip, while the rest were Japanese people who felt nostalgic about the film.

After that, I realized something: my people were not in my country. I didn't resonate with the people around me, and no matter how hard I tried to fit in, it never worked. So I withdrew even further and distanced myself from my country. I deleted all my Brazilian social media accounts, such as facebook and whatsapp, and stayed only on Tumblr, Telegram, and Instagram.

There were times when I spent months without even using Portuguese. And when I did use it, it was only to talk to two friends of mine and my mom. That's how Basquiat, the nipo-brazilian, was born!
