On Monday morning, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution urging an immediate ceasefire in Gaza throughout the month of Ramadan. The resolution also called for the prompt and unconditional release of all hostages.

The United States chose to abstain rather than exercising its veto power, marking the first successful adoption of a ceasefire resolution by the council following four previous unsuccessful attempts. All other members voted in favor of the resolution.

A New York appellate court has granted President Trump the ability to post a reduced bond of $175 million to cover his $464 million civil fraud judgment.

The appeals court also ruled that Trump may have an additional 10 days to post the bond.

A judge has thrown out a lawsuit brought by Elon Musk’s X against the nonprofit Center for Countering Digital Hate. In a ruling issued on Monday, the judge stated that the essence of the case revolved around penalizing the Defendants for their speech.
