US District Judge Aileen Cannon has canceled tentative plans to hold a hearing on August 25 on a protective order for classified evidence in the Mar-a-Lago documents case against President Donald Trump.

She said in an order Thursday that the proceeding will take place under seal at a different time “and place to discuss sensitive, security-related issues concerning classified discovery.”

Cannon’s move to announce the hearing will be a sealed one comes even as court submissions weighing in on the prosecutors’ request for the protective order – known as a Section 3 motion under the Classified Information Procedures Act – have been filed publicly. It was not clear from the judge’s latest order whether she intended to publicly announce at a later date when and where the sealed hearing would be.

As a Georgia State Senator, I am officially calling for an emergency session to review the actions of Fani Willis.

America is under attack. I’m not going to sit back and watch as radical left prosecutors politically TARGET political opponents. (h/t GA Senator Colton Moore)

Today, America First Legal launched a new investigation into the activity of Fulton County, Georgia’s District Attorney, Fani Willis. AFL requested records related to the cost of the office’s years-long investigation of President Trump and documents related to the rate at which the office declines to pursue felony charges in other cases. Justice must be blind, and if the office is routinely declining felony charges while pursuing long-lasting and expensive investigations of the political opposition, this raises grave concerns about the partisanship of our justice system.

AFL also seeks to obtain the office’s communications with the Court Clerk’s office regarding the apparent inadvertent release of the Trump indictment before it was issued by the Grand Jury. AFL seeks to obtain transparency in government to ensure that the government remains accountable to the people. That principle, that the people are the sovereign and our elected officials work for the people, is central to our republic, and must be preserved.

President Donald Trump, the front-runner in polls for the 2024 Republican nomination, is seeking to delay his federal trial pertaining to the 2020 election.

In a court filing Thursday, Trump's attorneys recommended starting the trial in April 2026, more than two years after prosecutors are seeking to get the trial underway.

“This is an unprecedented case in American history. The incumbent administration has targeted its primary political opponent—and leading candidate in the upcoming presidential election—with criminal prosecution," Trump's attorneys wrote. "The administration has devoted tens of millions of dollars to this effort, creating a special counsel’s office with dozens of employees, many of whom are apparently assigned full-time to this case and this case alone."

"The government’s objective is clear: to deny President Trump and his counsel a fair ability to prepare for trial. The Court should deny the government’s request,” they added.

Hunter Biden's misdemeanor tax charges have been dismissed by a federal judge in Delaware, an expected move after his "sweetheart" plea deal fell through last month during his first court appearance in the case.

The Justice Department submitted a filing last week to dismiss the case ahead of a possible trial on Biden's felony gun charge in a different district.

After the plea deal fell apart, Biden pleaded "not guilty" as federal prosecutors confirmed he is still under federal investigation. He was expected to plead guilty to the two misdemeanor tax counts of willful failure to pay federal income tax as part of the plea deal to avoid jail time on the felony gun charge.

Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., is calling on Congress to investigate Judge Tanya Chutkan of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, accusing her of conducting her court with open bias and partisanship in handling the cases of people linked to Jan. 6, 2021 at the U.S. Capitol.

Chutkan is also the judge overseeing the U.S. government’s case against President Trump for allegedly attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

He’s introducing a resolution in the House to both censure Chutkan and direct the House Judiciary Committee to probe her conduct.

Former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe says that the mainstream media won’t cover the corruption because they are co-conspirators and complicit in everything.

“I don’t think it’s that they are ignoring it, I think it’s that they’re scared. Look, you have to keep in mind that they’re all co-conspirators in this. They’re all complicit in this…

They were all part of this and they’re all complicit in this and there is so much at stake, and if it unravels, it’s not just political folks that will take a fall on this…”

When this is all said and done, I believe many people will be going to jail. Conspiring to overthrow a duly elected President of the United States? I’m no lawyer, but these are serious crimes.
A U.S. judge on Friday declared that Donald Trump had filed a "frivolous" appeal of his decision not to dismiss the first of writer E. Jean Carroll's two defamation lawsuits stemming from her claims that she raped her.

Judge Kaplan also denied Trump’s bid to delay the case while he appeals.
