CB radio/HF.

If you are already experienced with HF/CB radio you'll be aware of how SWR figures can change over the bandwidths and when mix-matching equipment. A tuning device known as an ATU is very useful.

Here is a manual one avaliable on ebay for a reasonable price.

Re ATUs above, remember to keep your SWR meter inline and monitor power and SWR readings.

Antennas

If you are looking at making your own long-wire antenna such as an inverted V dipole you may find the following helpful.

FM is frequency modulation, that means the strength of signal stays the same but the information in encoded in a variation of the frequency at that point.
AM is amplitude modulation, that means the sine wave increases or decreases in amplitude/size at that frequency which is how it's encoded.
SSB, single sideband is like AM but it only uses half of the signal and the middle part is normally chopped off (suppressed) hence it sounds different. It can be the Upper or Lower portion of the signal...USB or LSB.
Bandwidth and Frequency are similar, they describe the frequency or Bandwidth that the signal is transmitted at or the receiver is tuned to. With SSB you use a Clarifier to fine tune this to get. SSB gets better long distance communication and the preferred calling frequency is USB 27.555Mhz.
SWR is Standing Wave Ratio and shows how much of the transmitted power is being reflected back into the transmitter from the antenna. This isn't healthy for the transmitter and the more output power you use the worse the damage, hence the need to tune the antenna.

Convenience is a false economy, it all comes at a price.

It's unbelievably important to support your local farmers, smallholding, butchers and more even if you may think it's not as convenient or a little more expensive in the short term.

I've been to Red Lodge Farm (Wakefield) today and can confirm they don't and won't be using it. They have had a lot of people contacting them about it but I wanted to speak to them face to face. They also confirmed that they no longer supply any dairies and are soley point of sale to customers and local customer deliveries, I think that is a fantastic victory showing that local support really makes a difference.

Raw, unpasturised milk as it should be.
