If you can afford it why not rent a storage container? I have a 20 ft one and whilst shopping around the prices I found were c£100 per month for a 10ft container and c£150 for a 20ft container. 10ft will be more than adequate for most people. You can buy new 60 litre food barrels for less than £40 which you can fill with dry rations such as packet soups, dry rice, flour, powdered milk and many more. I have a couple that I've split into shop bought dry foods and extra long life freeze dried meals. Don't forget to have a few large, sealed bottles of water too....5 litre ones are easy to handle.
