General rule for writing:
1) while practicing, start timing yourself. In that way, you will get used to finishing your task within 45 minutes which will include word count and corrections.
2) First scroll down to read whom you are supposed to address the letter to. That will help you decide what is relevant to the reader of not during the 5 minutes of reading.
3) look at the setting.... emergency, clinic, specialist or rehabilitation center. This will help you decide the tone of your letter and what information to start with. A doctor might not need dosages but a care giver or rehabilitation specialist will need dosages and your language has to be in simple terms.
4) who is the patient? How are you supposed to address him/her? What part of the social and medical history is important to the diagnosis?
5) be as concise as possible. Avoid unnecessary information and don't include negative results unless you need more word counts.
6) information that were repeated might not necessarily be repeated in your letter. Pick the most relevant or find a way to merge them.
7) once your word count exceeds 220, you are definitely going off track and must check what information you didn't need to write.
8) your introduction shouldn't be more than 2 sentences and must include your diagnosis and what you expect from the reader.
9) never assume any information that wasn't given. Stick to what you were asked to expand on.
10) avoid sounding judgmental. Report a patient's inadequacies without making it look like it's his/her fault.
11) not every hospital visit is relevant. Choose and vary your visit reports with phrases like: on 28/10/95, Two weeks later, Mr X was reviewed on.....
12) it's an English exam, so, the need for good grammar cannot be overemphasized. Punctuation marks are very important.
13) drug brand names should be in capital letters while generic names are in small letters.
14) avoid abbreviations as much as possible although general ones are acceptable.
15) never use informal language like "kid, threw up, fagged out, etc" in your letter.
16) closing paragraph must rephrase your introduction.

Dear friends,
OET INFORMATION
As we suggested earlier, it's crucial to use this time for optimal preparation for the test.
Amidst uncertainties and assumptions by many that tests will only be resumed in the coming calendar year, OET conducted test at a few centres today.
Some of our group members/their colleagues took the test today @ Perth, Australia and International House- Bristol,UK.
If the situation in your country /area allows , the test will be conducted with all safety precautions.
If the situation in your country/area is not in favour of mass gathering, it may take some more time for the test to be resumed
We can also expect OET(CBT at Venues) and OET@Home this year.
Remember, this is only the sixth month of the year.
Coming to Preparations, it should not be limited to practising Reading/Listening materials , Writing letters or doing OET role plays with your speaking partners.
Set aside time for extensive reading and listening. This will improve your language as well as your comprehension of written and spoken text. Also, work on summarising skills as we understand from our experience that this is the area were people mostly lack in.
Work on phonetics, practise speaking with appropriate voice modulation.
We would also suggest to start preparing for your professional aptitude tests like CBT/OSCE for NMC, PLAB , ORE along with OET preparation.
We would like to see you all working in your dream country, dream job enjoying all the good things in the world that you longer for.
Time and tide waits for none.
Best wishes and prayers
