According to the Mayor, today young Ukrainians have matured quickly: at their young age, unfortunately, they learned what war is.“I would like to wish you a peaceful sky above you, so that you quickly forget this terrible word“ war ”. So that peace reigns in our beloved Ukraine as soon as possible,” said Gennady Trukhanov.
According to Deputy Mayor Svetlana Bedrega, all drawings will be handed over to the defenders of Ukraine, because the support of every Ukrainian is very important for them.

During the 98 days of the Russian invasion, 689 children were injured as a result of the occupiers' attacks. And these are only those we know about.
We do not yet have all the information from the territory that is currently occupied. But from what is known today - 446 children were injured, 243 children died. 139 went missing.

According to the Mayor of Odesa, Gennady Trukhanov, today this holiday has acquired a special meaning.

“We are obliged to protect you and protect you from danger. We are obliged to create all the conditions for you to study and for your happy childhood,” said Gennady Trukhanov.

He also thanked the representatives of all European countries who, in a severe time for Ukraine, extended a helping hand and accepted Odesa children, creating excellent conditions for them. In particular, we are talking about Poland, Bulgaria, Italy, Switzerland and other European countries.

🇬🇧The Odesa port must be unblocked for the export of grain - this opinion was expressed by the Mayor of Odesa Gennady Trukhanov in an interview with the Italian Radio RAI.

“There is a food crisis in the world, and other countries need our grain,” the Mayor said.

According to him, unblocking will mean a weakening of the defense capability, so Ukraine needs security guarantees from its Western partners.

“There are three NATO countries in the Black Sea that have their own fleet. I believe that they are capable of ensuring the safety and passage of cargo ships to our port,” Trukhanov added.

Addressing the people and politicians of Luxembourg, I emphasized that no one will be able to stay away and avoid being affected when a catastrophe of such enormity occurs in the world because of the Russian state. It is reminiscent of World War II, when Nazi aggression threatened the lives of entire nations. Therefore, we must significantly increase the pressure on Russia to stop this catastrophe and prevent such aggressions in the future.

At the International Security Forum in Bratislava I called for a response to all the challenges and dangers that the Russian Federation has created against us. Politics, economics, military sphere, food, environment, migration - there is no area of our lives in which there is no catastrophe, crisis or threat of catastrophe or crisis due to Russia's actions. The quality of our answers directly depends on only one thing - our unity. Any division in Europe is a chance, a chance for Russia. For it to continue its aggressive policy.

“We are well aware of the challenges you had to face. And we are ready to cooperate with you now and after the war as well, in a more peaceful time. We have a lot in common: a port, a fleet, as well as a developed tourism industry, which the economy is largely based on,” said Mr. Robert M. Dyer.

“Today, the support of the international community is very important for us - morally and by the provision of weapons to Ukraine. I am grateful to the American people for helping my native country and, in particular, Odesa. I have no doubt that our cooperation will bring excellent results. In particular, after our victory,” said Gennady Trukhanov.

The United States has confirmed at various levels that modern HIMARS are being sent to our country. These weapons will really help save the lives of our people and protect our land.
