The Land Rover Defender ambulance will carry wounded soldiers and has already been handed over to the 126 Territorial Defense Brigade to work on the front lines.

“This medical vehicle can transport fighters in off-road conditions, which is extremely important. Grateful to Marseille for the constant help to Odesa,” commented Deputy Mayor Sergiy Tetyukhin.

I am grateful to all the partners of Ukraine who help. But I emphasize again and again: the longer this war lasts, the greater will be the price of protecting freedom not only for Ukraine, but also for the whole free world.
Therefore, the supply of heavy weapons to Ukraine - MLRS, tanks, anti-ship and other weapons - is the best investment in maintaining stability in the world and preventing many severe crises that Russia is still planning or has already provoked.

🇬🇧Since the beginning of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine, Odesa has become a transit city for more than 21,000 Ukrainians who fled the rusian aggression. The Mayor of Odesa said this in the framework of the marathon "90th day of confrontation" on the Ukraine 24 TV channel.

According to the Mayor of Odesa, together with the leadership of Ukrazaliznytsia, comfortable conditions were created for the arriving people.
Trukhanov stressed that today more than 20 thousand refugees are registered in Odesa, who are provided with all the necessary assistance: resettlement, provision of food, clothing and basic necessities. In addition, a mechanism for their employment is being developed.

“Today the main task is to make these people feel safe, help them organize their lives and establish a normal life,” said Gennady Trukhanov.

Odesa Mayor also stressed that within the framework of the program of the President of Ukraine in Odesa, it is planned to begin construction of housing for IDPs.

“Since the beginning of hostilities, Odesa has become a transit city for thousands of Ukrainians. Every day, hundreds of migrants and refugees pass through our city, some of whom remain in Odesa. In addition, work is underway to launch a new program for the employment of IDPs.”

🇬🇧The Mayor of Odesa, Gennady Trukhanov, denied the fakes spread by the russian ministry of defense. We are talking about the rumors spread by the aggressor on social networks about the use of infrastructure facilities in Odesa to equip strongholds and deploy heavy weapons. In particular, it was about schools #14 and #71.

The Mayor of Odesa personally visited these educational institutions and demonstrated that there was no military infrastructure there.

“I want the whole civilized world to see that these are our schools that we are restoring and repairing, where our children should and will learn. Let everyone see that this is peaceful Odesa, and that the russian defense ministry is lying again,” Trukhanov said.

No matter what the Russian state does, there is always someone who says: let's take its interests into account. This year in Davos it was heard again. Despite thousands of Russian missiles hitting Ukraine. Despite tens of thousands of Ukrainians killed. Despite Bucha and Mariupol, etc. Despite the destroyed cities. And despite the "filtration camps" built by the Russian state, in which they kill, torture, rape and humiliate like on a conveyor belt. Russia has done all this in Europe.
But still in Davos, for example, Mr. Kissinger emerges from the deep past and says that a piece of Ukraine should be given to Russia. So that there is no alienation of Russia from Europe.

🇬🇧Odesa is grateful to you!

Odesa is grateful to every country that hosts our people in severe times and helps them with all their needs, including providing continuing education for young Ukrainians: schoolchildren and children in kindergartens.

On behalf of all residents of Odesa, Olena Buynevych, Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council, expressed her gratitude.

Latvia perceive our struggle for freedom as your own struggle. And this is true - because right now in Ukraine the fate of all of us, all Europeans, is being decided. It is the strength of weapons in the war that Russia has launched against our country, against Ukraine, and at the same time against the freedom of all its neighbors, that determines what will dominate in Europe for decades to come. Either it will be justice for every nation we strive for with you, or Russia will manage to make the words "occupation", "repression", "deportation" main again for different nations. I am grateful to Latvia for the determination you’ve stood up for justice with.

🇬🇧Another group of little Odesans will receive temporary asylum and social protection in Switzerland. Under the leadership of Mayor Gennady Trukhanov, organizational issues were discussed with the leadership and teaching staff.

“These are children who have no one but you and me - those who replaced their parents. This is a great responsibility. Everyone contributes to our Victory in their own way, we must save the lives of little Ukrainians - the future of the country,” said Gennady Trukhanov.

Exactly eight years ago, on May 26, the Donetsk airport stopped working. On that day, apparently, no one foresaw how events in Donbas would develop over these years. And then - throughout Ukraine after a full-scale invasion. But that day and any day later, and today, two things can be said with confidence. First. Ukraine will always be an independent state and will not be broken. The only question is what price our people will have to pay for their freedom, and Russia - for this senseless war against us. And second. The catastrophic developments could have been stopped if the world had treated the situation in Ukraine as its own. If the strong of the world had not played with Russia, but really pressed to end the war.

Addressed the Indonesian people. Emphasized that the sooner our lands are liberated from the occupiers, the more reliably people everywhere in the world will be protected. Protected from the aggressive desires of those who want to pursue colonial policies, as in the old days.
If the world is truly united and honest about this Russian aggression against our sovereign state, the speed of ending this war will be measured in weeks.
Weeks, not even months.

What matters most to me and why? I do not know whether the current presidents of a state fighting for its freedom have ever answered this question. But here is my answer. Weapons, sanctions, finances, blockade and confiscation of all Russian assets, a fair tribunal against all war criminals, updated efficient security architecture that will prevent such new wars in the world. And, of course, a complete restoration of normal peaceful life in our country.

As expected, the situation in Donbas is very difficult. The occupiers are trying to achieve in at least a hundred days of war the goals they hoped to achieve in the first days after February 24. Therefore, they concentrated maximum artillery, maximum reserves in Donbas. There are missile strikes and aircraft attacks - everything. We are protecting our land in the way that our current defense resources allow. We are doing everything to increase them. And we will increase them.

🇬🇧Today we need to win and restore the economy of Ukraine. Because it is not possible to talk about the full-scale work when with martial law having been introduced in the country and the city is under the constant threat of rocket attacks. This was stated by the Mayor of Odesa Gennady Trukhanov in an interview with Kyodo News.
According to the Mayor, the situation is aggravated by the fact that, fearing for their lives, many specialists left the territory of Ukraine.

The Mayor also pointed out that the main threat to Odesa today is the encirclement of the city and missile attacks from the sea.

“Now the defense line of Mykolaiv is being built in order not to let the enemy go further. We, in Odesa, need anti-ship missiles to counter missile strikes and landing ships,” said Gennady Trukhanov.

🇬🇧Odesa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov met with the founder of the World Central Kitchen, Mr. José Andrés. WCK is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to providing nutrition after natural disasters.

According to the Mayor of Odesa, the joint work of the city authorities and this organization has already shown its effectiveness, because today the main priority is to help people.

“Our task is to share our experience. Catering for people is difficult even in peacetime, and when an emergency occurs, it is doubly difficult. That is why we are here to say: “Catering is not a problem,” said Mr. José Andrés.

WCK has been cooperating with Odesa since March 14th. As of May 28, the city received 23 wagons and 12 trucks of a variety of canned food and long-term storage products.

We work every day to strengthen our defense. This is primarily a supply of weapons. Every day we are bringing closer the time when our army will surpass the occupiers technologically and by firepower. Of course, a lot depends on the partners. On their readiness to provide Ukraine with everything necessary to defend freedom. And I expect good news on this already next week.
