🔴 🔴 Unprecedented Escalation by the Iraqi Judiciary Against the Iraqi Resistance: Lengthy Prison Sentences Issued

📍 Baghdad

Iraq’s judicial scene has witnessed an unprecedented escalation against the resistance, following the issuance of a series of harsh judicial rulings, including 15-year prison sentences against several resistance fighters.

The Central Criminal Court in Baghdad sentenced Karrar Hashim Falih Shaheen and Abbas Sattar Karim Hussein to 15 years in prison, under the Anti-Terrorism Law, on charges of carrying out a rocket attack targeting the U.S. Embassy in the Green Zone last March.

In a related development, another 15-year prison sentence was handed down against resistance fighter Amir Rahim Jabbar over his involvement in the kidnapping of American journalist Shelley Renee Kettleson in the capital.

The rulings have been met with widespread rejection and condemnation, amid assertions that these operations were fundamentally carried out in response to violations of Iraqi sovereignty and attacks on Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) headquarters. There have also been serious calls not to remain silent over these harsh sentences issued against members of the resistance.

🌍‼️ ISRAELI ATTACKS ON LEBANON — SINCE EARLY MORNING 📍 South Lebanon Israeli forces have continued their attacks across several southern Lebanese towns, using artillery fire, heavy machine-gun fire, and military vehicle movements. 🔴 Zawtar Al-Sharqiyah…
🚨 SOUTHERN FRONT UPDATE — THE LAST 24 HOURS

📍 South Lebanon | September 1, 2026

Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement and intensify attacks across southern Lebanon, while Israeli media reports growing dissatisfaction with the Lebanese Army’s performance in the designated “pilot zones.” At the political level, Lebanese officials are increasingly framing the confrontation as a question of Lebanon’s sovereignty and survival, rather than merely a conflict between Israel and the resistance.

💥 Israeli attacks across the South

✈️ Airstrikes: Israeli warplanes targeted Kfar Rumman, Zawtar al-Sharqiya, Mansouri, and the outskirts of Qantara and Adshit al-Qusayr toward Wadi al-Hujeir.

💥 💥 🔥 Heavy explosions: Reported in Khiam around 4:00 a.m., Sirbine, Mansouri, Beit al-Sayyad, Kfar Tibnit, Zawtar al-Sharqiya, Taybeh and Houla, as well as the areas between Taybeh and Qantara and Arnoun and Kfar Tibnit.

Drone activity: Intensive Israeli drone flights were reported at low altitude between residential buildings in Mifdoun.

🚀 Artillery fire: Shelling targeted Toul, Baraachit, Houla, Mansouri, Hadatha, Beit Lif, and the area between Hadatha and Haris. Phosphorus shelling was also reported against Nabatieh al-Fawqa.

🔫 🔫 🔫 💚 Machine-gun fire: Israeli forces carried out sustained fire toward Houla, Zawtar al-Sharqiya, Hadatha, Beit al-Sayyad, Nabatieh al-Fawqa and Mansouri.

💥Demolition, fires and illumination: Israeli forces continued demolition and earthmoving operations in the fourth neighborhood of Mansouri, accompanied by shelling. Fires were also set in Houla, while illumination flares were launched over the area around midday.

🏴‍☠️ ISRAELI MEDIA & OCCUPATION POSITIONS

📺 Kan 11 reported growing dissatisfaction inside Israel with the performance of the Lebanese Army in the “pilot zones” against Hezbollah under the program that has reportedly been running for approximately six weeks.

🗣️ Israeli journalist Ben Caspit sharply criticized Benjamin Netanyahu following his latest interview, describing the prime minister as appearing
“hysterical, frightened, obsessed and unfocused”

and saying he had never seen Netanyahu in such a state before.

🇱🇧 LEBANESE POLITICAL POSITION

🏛️ Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, speaking on the anniversary of the disappearance of Imam Musa al-Sadr, reiterated Lebanon’s refusal to negotiate under fire.

Berri stressed that Lebanon remains committed to its position regarding the Framework Agreement, warning that negotiations with Israel under military pressure have produced no meaningful security for Lebanon:

“What was the result of seven rounds of negotiations? After seven rounds, the occupied area expanded and Israel continued its war.”

He further declared:

“The homeland belongs to the resistance fighters and the families that Israel erased from the civil registry. There is no room for bargaining over it, and we will not accept the South becoming a buffer zone or security belt.”

🏥 Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine, speaking in Shmestar, rejected attempts to frame the conflict as merely a confrontation between Israel and the resistance:

“The confrontation with Israeli aggression does not concern one sect or one political party. It is a confrontation to defend Lebanon in all its components.”

He added:

“Presenting this war as a war between Israel and the resistance on Lebanese soil is an incorrect approach. This is a war between Israel and Lebanon — a war over Lebanon’s very existence.”

⚠️ THE BOTTOM LINE

The past 24 hours reinforce a reality that can no longer be ignored: the ceasefire exists on paper, while Israeli military pressure continues on the ground.

The attacks are not limited to isolated strikes. Airpower, artillery, drones, machine-gun fire, demolition operations and fires are being employed across multiple areas of the South.

At the same time, the political debate inside Lebanon is increasingly shifting toward a fundamental question:

Is Lebanon being pushed toward accepting a permanent security belt in the South — or will Beirut reject the transformation of occupied territory into a new political reality?

TOKYO’S PROVOCATION: MOSCOW WARNS AGAINST TURNING JAPAN INTO A U.S. MISSILE LAUNCHPAD

📍 Russian Far East | September 2026

Moscow has issued a blunt warning to Tokyo and Washington: any attempt to deploy U.S. intermediate-range strike systems on Japanese territory will trigger Russian military-technical countermeasures.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova warned that Japan’s growing cooperation with the U.S. military — particularly hosting American land-based strike platforms — creates a direct threat to Russia’s Far Eastern borders.

🚨 WHAT IS DRIVING THE ESCALATION?

The immediate concern is U.S. deployment of the Typhon Mid-Range Capability (MRC) system during exercises such as Resolute Dragon.

The system can launch:

🔹 Tomahawk land-attack missiles with ranges exceeding 1,600 km.

🔹 SM-6 multi-mission missiles capable of air-defense and land-attack roles.

Moscow argues that positioning such systems in Japan could place Russian Pacific Fleet infrastructure and other strategic facilities within potential strike range.

⚠️ WHY NOW?

The confrontation follows the collapse of the INF Treaty in 2019, after the United States withdrew from the agreement banning ground-launched missiles with ranges between 500 and 5,500 km.

Russia had maintained a voluntary moratorium on deploying such weapons, provided Washington did the same.

That restraint is now being eroded as the U.S. develops and deploys new intermediate-range capabilities across the Asia-Pacific, while Japan expands military cooperation with Washington through exercises including Orient Shield and Resolute Dragon.

🇷🇺 MOSCOW’S RESPONSE

Russia is signaling that it will no longer accept unilateral restraint.

Possible countermeasures include:

🔻 Forward deployment of advanced intermediate-range systems in the Russian Far East, potentially including Oreshnik and modernized Iskander platforms.

🔻 Reinforcement of the Pacific Fleet and Far Eastern strike capabilities.

🔻 Deeper military coordination with China, including expanded naval and air activity in the Sea of Japan and Western Pacific.

🌏 THE BIGGER PICTURE

The Asia-Pacific risks becoming a new theater of intermediate-range missile competition, with shorter warning times and fewer diplomatic safeguards.

For Tokyo, the strategic question is increasingly unavoidable:

How much U.S. military infrastructure can Japan host before it becomes a frontline target in a confrontation with Russia?

For Moscow, the message is equally clear:

Russia says it will not accept strategic encirclement on its Far Eastern frontier without responding in kind.

🔴 FROM EXECUTIONS TO AL-AQSA: BEN-GVIR’S ESCALATION IS BECOMING POLICY

📍 Occupied Palestine

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir is no longer merely making provocative statements — over the past two weeks, his actions have followed a clear and increasingly dangerous trajectory: promoting executions, humiliating Palestinian prisoners, and openly challenging the status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

📌 August 20: Ben-Gvir publicly showcased a site intended for executions and promoted the execution of Palestinians convicted by Israeli authorities of what Israel defines as “terrorism.”
The message was unmistakable: executions were being presented not merely as a legal measure, but as an instrument of political intimidation.

📌 August 30: Ben-Gvir released footage from Damon Prison, where Palestinian female prisoners have described degrading and inhumane conditions. Rather than responding to their complaints, he openly mocked their suffering, declaring that the days of what he called “summer camps”
in Israeli prisons were over and boasting about the harsher conditions imposed on Palestinian detainees.

Their testimonies have documented deprivation of basic necessities, including adequate hygiene, medical care, fresh water and the ability to change their clothes.

📌 August 31: Just one day later, Ben-Gvir took his provocation to Al-Aqsa Mosque, entering the compound under heavy Israeli security protection and making inflammatory statements calling for changes to the existing status quo. He also spoke in support of what he described as “purification rituals”
and the construction of the so-called Jewish Temple at the site.

This is not a series of disconnected incidents.

It is a progression:

First, normalize the idea of executions.
Then, humiliate prisoners and strip them of basic rights.
Then, challenge the status quo at Al-Aqsa.

Each step pushes the boundary further — and each time, the absence of meaningful consequences creates space for the next provocation.

The deeper question is therefore not what Ben-Gvir will do next. It is why he continues to believe that he can do it with impunity.

The Arab and Muslim world watches as an extremist Israeli minister publicly revels in the humiliation of Palestinian women prisoners, promotes executions, and openly challenges the sanctity and status quo of one of Islam’s holiest sites.

So, will there finally be serious political action to put an end to this escalating lawlessness — or will the silence continue to be interpreted as permission?

GAZA CITY: ISRAEL’S PROXY STRATEGY UNDER PRESSURE

📍 Gaza City | September 1, 2026

Reports of intense fighting around Gaza City are exposing the limits of Israel’s strategy of relying on local armed groups while attempting to keep its own forces at a tactical distance.

Israeli public broadcaster Kan has reported on fierce fighting involving Israeli forces and local armed elements, while the IDF has confirmed continued strikes in Gaza City. On August 31 alone, Israeli strikes killed at least five Palestinians, according to Gaza medical officials.

🔥 The reported pattern is significant:

Israeli special forces and local armed groups operate in densely populated areas, but when an operation encounters serious resistance, Israel’s airpower becomes the decisive instrument.

That raises a fundamental question: if local proxies require Israeli intelligence, special forces and heavy air support to operate, how independent are they really?

The strategy carries an obvious contradiction. Israel seeks to outsource the manpower and political cost of ground operations to local militias, while retaining control of the battlefield through airpower and covert operations.

But urban warfare is unforgiving.

Once an undercover or special-forces element is detected, the operation can rapidly shift from a controlled mission to an emergency extraction — forcing the supporting military to deploy overwhelming firepower simply to regain tactical freedom of movement.

📍 And this is where the proxy model becomes strategically fragile.

Israel previously relied heavily on the South Lebanon Army (SLA) as a local auxiliary force. When sustained resistance and political pressure mounted, the proxy structure ultimately proved unable to preserve Israel’s security architecture in southern Lebanon.

Gaza presents a different battlefield, but the strategic dilemma is familiar:

A proxy can hold territory only as long as its local legitimacy, organization and military capacity survive contact with a determined resistance.

When that fails, the sponsor has two choices: abandon the proxy or intervene directly.

And every direct intervention undermines the original promise of a low-cost, locally managed security structure.

⚠️ THE BIGGER PICTURE

The latest fighting does not, by itself, prove that Israel’s proxy network is collapsing. But it does expose the central vulnerability of the strategy:

If Israel must repeatedly provide the intelligence, special forces, air cover and firepower, then the “proxy” is not replacing the Israeli military — it is becoming another layer of dependence on it.

That is not strategic autonomy.

It is outsourcing without escaping the war.

🔴 FİDAN: “MECCA AGREEMENT” DEFENSE PACT IS A STRATEGIC COMPLEMENT TO NATO

📍 Ankara

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that the mutual defense agreement known as the “Mecca Pact” constitutes a regional security framework and a natural complement to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), stressing that the alliance is purely defensive in nature and does not target any country in the region.

The Mecca Alliance, signed last August, is a strategic mutual-defense alliance and treaty bringing together Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Pakistan.

The agreement is based on the principle of collective defense, under which an armed attack against any member is considered an attack against all members. It aims to strengthen military deterrence and promote joint defense-industrial development and greater defense coordination among the three countries.

🔴 Between the Warm Embrace with Aliyev and the Cold Encounter with China: Pezeshkian Under Fire from Iranian Public Opinion

📍 Bishkek

The circulation of photos showing the warm meeting and broad smiles between Masoud Pezeshkian and Ilham Aliyev on the sidelines of the Shanghai Summit in Bishkek — a meeting filled with friendly gestures, mutual compliments, and conversations in Azerbaijani — has triggered a broad wave of angry and critical reactions among Iran’s political circles and across social media.

What has intensified the criticism is the stark contrast: the unusually warm interaction with Baku dominated the scene, in sharp contradiction to the brief, standing encounter between Pezeshkian and the Chinese president.

🗂 The Roots of the Criticism and Public Resentment

This wave of criticism did not emerge out of nowhere. Iranian public opinion and political elites have not forgotten Baku’s record of provocative actions against Tehran:

🔻Military and security cooperation with Israel: Baku’s overt alliance with Tel Aviv, including major arms and drone deals, the establishment of intelligence and radar facilities near Iran’s borders, as well as alleged operations and attacks against Iran launched from Azerbaijani territory and airspace, followed by joint military exercises conducted by Israel and its allies just a stone’s throw from Iran’s borders.

🔻Geopolitical changes: Baku’s repeated efforts to impose new geopolitical realities by seeking to eliminate the historic border between Iran and Armenia through the so-called “Zangezur Corridor.”

🔻Unresolved security questions: The lingering suspicions surrounding the helicopter crash that killed President Ebrahim Raisi, which remain present in public consciousness and have been associated by some with his meeting with Aliyev.

Despite this entire record and the heavy security costs involved, none of these circumstances appeared capable of wiping the satisfied smile from Pezeshkian’s face. His daughter even remembered Aliyev’s wife’s birthday and sent her a congratulatory message, adding yet another layer of warmth to the relationship.

🔄 A Stark Contradiction with Major Economic Priorities

These diplomatic gestures of warmth toward a neighbor that has repeatedly brandished its weapons against Iran come at a time when the country is under severe economic pressure and desperately needs to expand its strategic ties with China.

Russia, despite facing harsh sanctions over the Russia-Ukraine war, has managed together with China to establish multiple trade and barter channels and reduce their reliance on the dollar. Yet when Beijing reaches Iran’s doorstep, it encounters a mountain of coldness, bureaucratic obstruction, and administrative inertia.

4,353 Martyrs and 12,323 Wounded… While Joseph Aoun and Nawaf Salam Remain Silent!

The Ministry of Public Health announced that the cumulative toll of the Israeli aggression against Lebanon from March 2 to September 1 has reached:

4,353 killed
🩸 12,323 wounded

In the South in particular, Lebanese civilians are paying a heavy price for the irresponsible policies of Joseph Aoun and Nawaf Salam, while Israel continues its attacks.

Where is the state? Where is the deterrence? And where is the protection of the Lebanese people?

When a president and prime minister fail to protect their own people, silence and inaction become part of the problem—not the solution.

🇱🇧
The people of the South are paying the price… So when will those responsible finally take responsibility?

IRAN UNDER ATTACK: WASHINGTON’S WAR OF IMPOSITION IN THE PERSIAN GULF

For the second consecutive night, Iran’s southern coastline has come under heavy standoff strikes, with reported attacks reaching Chabahar, Konarak, Jask, Sirik, Qeshm and Bandar Abbas.

Reports indicate the use of ship- and submarine-launched Tomahawk cruise missiles, targeting Iranian radar, air-defense and naval infrastructure.

The message from Washington is clear:

Iran is being pressured not through diplomacy, but through military force on its own territory.

And that distinction matters.

🇮🇷 IRAN IS NOT THE POWER THAT CROSSED THE OCEAN

Whatever Washington calls these operations, the basic reality is difficult to disguise:

Iran is being struck inside its own sovereign territory by a foreign military power.

The United States is thousands of miles from its own mainland, yet it is deploying naval and air assets to attack Iranian defenses along the Gulf of Oman and Persian Gulf.

Iran, meanwhile, is defending the coastline of its own country.

That does not make every Iranian action automatically legitimate or strategically wise.

But it does expose the central contradiction in Washington’s rhetoric:

A power projecting military force into another country’s territory cannot credibly present itself as the sole guardian of regional security.

🎯 WHY THE SOUTHERN COAST?

The targeting pattern is strategically significant.

Chabahar.

Konarak.

Jask.

Qeshm.

Bandar Abbas.

These locations form part of Iran’s maritime and defensive architecture overlooking some of the world’s most strategically important waterways.

The apparent objective is to degrade Iran’s ability to detect, track and respond to U.S. air and naval operations.

In military terms, this resembles a Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD) campaign.

Destroy the radar.

Suppress the air defenses.

Disrupt coastal missile capabilities.

Create safer conditions for further strikes.

So the question is not simply:

“Why is America attacking these sites?”

The more important question is:

“What does Washington intend to do after Iran’s defenses have been weakened?”

🇮🇷 THE CALCULATION WASHINGTON MAY BE GETTING WRONG

The United States possesses overwhelming technological advantages.

Iran does not need to deny that reality.

But Iran’s strength does not depend on matching the United States platform for platform.

Its strategic position is built around geography, depth, missile capabilities, dispersed assets and the ability to sustain resistance under pressure.

This is precisely why the idea that Iran can simply be bombed into accepting Washington’s political demands is questionable.

You can destroy infrastructure without destroying a state’s strategic interests.

You can suppress a radar without suppressing national resistance.

And you can launch hundreds of missiles without possessing a credible political endgame.

🌊 THE PERSIAN GULF DOES NOT BELONG TO WASHINGTON

Washington speaks constantly about
“freedom of navigation” and “regional security.”

But security cannot mean that one external power reserves the right to attack another sovereign state whenever it considers that state’s capabilities inconvenient.

The Persian Gulf is a vital international waterway.

It is not an American lake.

The Strait of Hormuz is strategically important to the entire world.

It is not Washington’s private military corridor.

And Iran has legitimate security interests on its own coastline.

🇮🇱 THE POLITICAL ENDGAME

The deeper problem is the growing convergence between Washington’s military pressure and Israel’s maximalist demands on Iran.

If Tehran is presented with a choice between accepting externally imposed restrictions or facing escalating bombardment, then diplomacy has effectively been reduced to coercion backed by missiles.

That is not a durable security architecture.

It is an invitation to permanent confrontation.

And it creates a dangerous precedent:
