Currently the strategy of the Russian armed forces is to advance on the northern and southern flanks of Toretsk in order to gain fire control over the Ukrainian army's supply routes to the city. In case of success the Ukrainian reinforcement capacity will be diminished and this will definitely tip the balance to the Russian side. In addition, and as it has already been said many times, the Terrikons will also decide the battle for the city.

🇰🇵It will be interesting to see what happens with the North Koreans now that the Kursk Front is all but finished.

Up to now, they've only been used in the internationally recognised territory of the Russian Federation.

2. Used as border guards on the Kursk or other adjacent areas

3. Deploy in one of the other active directions

The ship received the official name "Choe Hyon" (No 51) in honor of General Choe Hyon, a major military figure, comrade-in-arms and close friend of Kim Il Sung.

It is reported that this 5,000-ton destroyer was built "in no more than 400 days", and has now been handed over to the Navy. This is the largest warship ever built in the DPRK.

Judging by the pics, the destroyer has vertical launch systems (VLS) with 74 cells for missiles of three different types and sizes (10 large, 20 medium and 44 small).

In addition, the photo shows one large bow artillery mount (AU), two six-barrel small-caliber AA mounts some new AA system, as well as four quadruple launchers for multi-purpose guided missiles (Navy version of the Bulsae-4 NLOS missiles). It also has torpedo tubes.

The superstructure in the middle of the destroyer apparently also houses launchers for long-range cruise missiles of the Khvasar (Arrow) family designed to strike ground targets.

The warship has a radar with four fixed antennas with phased antenna arrays.

In general, the local military-industrial complex and Navy have made a significant leap forward.

“We will never forget our friends 🇷🇺 🤝 🇰🇵,” wrote the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Zakharova following Gerasimov’s words about the heroism shown by the DPRK military during the battles in the Kursk region.
