AMA with Sudo — Community call #2625

Last week's AMA didn't happen 😶 But Sudo promised you a solo AMA, and this time it's actually happening (in less than 2 hours!)

Same plan as before: ask about what's going on at Nym, or whatever else is on your mind. You'll get your answers live. As always, you can send your questions below or in the live chat.

🎁 Something BIG is in store for next week too. Tune in to find out more!

📡 AI Surveillance and Freedom of Speech — Live from ETH Zurich

AI-powered surveillance is redrawing the boundaries of privacy and expression. As companies like Google and Palantir pour resources into it, the question of what role we want technology (and ourselves) to play has never been more urgent.

Tomorrow, the ETHics Forum hosts a panel with whistleblower Edward Snowden (virtual), investigative journalist Marguerite Meyer, and former Google employee Vikram Subramanian. Moderated by Nym's own Dr Jaya Klara Brekke (CSO).

We're bringing you the stream, so you can watch from anywhere.

Nym MEGA Quiz 🏆 3000 points up for grabs!

This is the last quiz of the NSL season. After this, the leaderboard closes, so if you've been meaning to climb a few spots, now's your moment.

We're finishing on Harry's Anti-Palantir Manifesto. It digs into what Palantir is really building, why Harry thinks code protects privacy better than any law ever could, and what mass surveillance actually means for the rest of us. Give it a read and come test yourself!

🥸 Topic: The Anti-Palantir Manifesto

🌿 Rewards: 3000 points on the NSL leaderboard

😅 When? 01 October, 2026

12:00 UTC → Chinese, Vietnamese
18:30 UTC → English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, Russian

💸 Private money meets private internet — Community call #2626

Could you live on crypto alone? Joël Valenzuela has, for about ten years now: paid only in crypto since 2015, no bank account since 2016.

A lot of that has run on Dash, a privacy-focused digital cash coin built for fast, everyday payments. He's dropping in to talk about life off the banking grid, the state of private money, and whatever else comes up.

And yes, Dash is already a way to pay for your NymVPN subscriptions!

📱 What comes after big social? Community call #2627 with Kimmo (Lens)

This week Kimmo joins us, someone who's spent years building tools that let people actually own their presence online instead of handing it to big platforms.

We'll get into where social media is headed, what it takes to break free of the data harvesting machine, and plenty more.

Oh, and there's an ongoing NymVPN x Lens drop you'll want to hear about.
