Let’s celebrate our remarkable SoC students at the NUS Achievement Awards (NAA)! 🏆 Honouring the achievements of student life beyond academics, the NAA is the most prestigious and only University-level award.

A big shoutout to:

1️⃣ Yan Yushan, honoured with the Tan Ean Kiam Arts Award for Production of the Year, which elevates artistic expression at NUS.

2️⃣ Zhou Yujie, named Sportsman of the Year, excels both on and off the Judo mat.

3️⃣ The ‘SunNUS 2023’ team, comprising of Kok Yu Xian, Chu Jia Ming, Guok Wei Jie, and Benecia Tang create waves and inspire many to adopt active lifestyles.

4️⃣ Aishwarya Hariharan Iyer for her significant contributions through 'Yogathon 2023,' fostering a stress-free and healthy NUS community.

NUS Computing’s Provost’s Chair Professor Peh Li Shiuan clinches the ACM SIGMICRO Test of Time Award! 🏆 The influential 2002 paper, 'Orion', which was co-authored with Princeton University collaborators, continues to shape computer microarchitecture. With over 1000 citations, Prof Peh reflects on its significance and a memorable moment she had with the paper.

Unifying Efforts for National CyberSecurity 🛡️

Senior Minister of State for Defence, Mr. Heng Chee How, and Senior Minister of State for Communications and Information and Health, Dr. Janil Puthucheary, attended the Critical Infrastructure Defence Exercise (CIDeX) at NUS Computing last month. CIDeX saw more than 200 participants and is proudly supported by the National Cybersecurity R&D Laboratory. This collaboration aims to enhance Whole-Of-Government Cyber capabilities, with a specific focus on detecting and mitigating cyber threats to networks that govern critical infrastructure operations.
